Jimmy Kimmel Talks Oscars Slap Ahead of Hosting Gig

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host revealed he hasn't spoken to Will Smith since the incident but reached out to Chris Rock.

Jimmy Kimmel has some thoughts regarding last year's Oscars as he preps to host the awards ceremony this year for the third time.

In an interview with People, the 55-year-old late night host shared his reaction to Will Smith infamously slapping Chris Rock across the face after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.

"It's still shocking that that happened," Kimmel said. "To see something like that happen outside of like The Maury Povich Show is shocking. And then for it to happen on the Oscars magnifies it by about a million times…."

He continued, "I think it's something that everybody regrets and that we will move past. One day it will be looked at in the same way as that guy running onstage naked is looked at: a weird moment that we all talked about and we hopefully learn from."

Though the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" star hasn't spoken to the "King Richard" actor since the incident, he revealed he reached out to Rock and commended him on how he handled the altercation.

"I mean, to be slapped in the face and to stay that cool is something that Chris should be proud of," he said. "Chris's grandchildren, I hope, will still be proud of that when he's dead and gone."

Shortly after Will's altercation with Chris, he took to Instagram to apologize for the incident. In a lengthy statement, Will called violence "poisonous and destructive" and called his actions "unacceptable and inexcusable." He went on to explain that hearing a joke about Jada, who suffers from alopecia, had been too much for him to bear and he "reacted emotionally."

"I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness," Will wrote.

He went on to apologize to the Academy, producers and viewers of the show as well as his "King Richard" family. Smith, who won the award for Best Actor soon after slapping Rock during the ceremony, eventually resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Kimmel will host the Oscars for the third time on Sunday, March 12 at 5:00 PM PDT on ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel 'Thrilled' Matt Damon Might Not Attend 2023 Oscars

"I hope he never gets nominated again," joked Kimmel, who will be hosting the Academy Awards for the third time later this month.

Ahead of his Oscars hosting gig, Jimmy Kimmel says he's hoping his frenemy, Matt Damon, won't be one of the stars in attendance.

In an interview with People, the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host -- who has been in a longtime "feud" with the Oscar winner -- joked that he's delighted over the possibility that Damon will not be in the crowd at the Dolby Theatre when he hosts the Academy Awards for the third time later this month.

"I'm thrilled that he won't show," Kimmel said Damon, who has been nominated for five Oscars throughout his career, winning the award for Best Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting" in 1997.

"I hope he never gets nominated again," Kimmel quipped.

The 2023 Oscars -- which will air live on ABC on March 12 -- marks Kimmel's third time hosting Hollywood's biggest night. The 55-year-old previously hosted the 2017 and 2018 ceremony, with Kimmel famously presiding over "envelope-gate" during his first time.

If you recall, back in 2017, the award announcers for Best Picture, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, mistakenly announced "La La Land" as the category's winner instead of "Moonlight." The moment went down as one of the biggest moments in Academy Awards history.

Looking back, Kimmel joked that he blames Damon for the mishap.

"I believe that his presence in some way caused the envelope mixup," he told People, before adding that Damon was right next to him when it all went down.

"Jokes aside, I was sitting next to Matt when that literally unfolded," Kimmel recalled, "and he figured out what was going on a couple of seconds before I did. His version of the story is that I figured it out before he did.… So whatever the case, neither one of us knew what the hell was going on."

Kimmel recently spoke about Damon in January during the celebratory "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" episode in honor of the 20th anniversary of his late-night talk show, taking cheap shots at his pal. (See how Damon hilariously hit back, here.)

Longtime fans know that Kimmel and Damon have had a mock feud for years and years now, starting when Kimmel randomly apologized to Damon for having to bump him from the show -- something he does every night now.

While speaking with NPR back in 2013, the late-night host said Damon's name "was just the first name that popped into [his] head," and his producer "got a kick out of it" so he "just started doing it every night to amuse him."

"Repeating the same joke every single night, you'd think eventually people would get tired of it, but they don't," Kimmel said at the time.

During an appearance on Sirius XM's "The Jess Cagle Show" back in 2021, Damon reflected on his "feud" with Kimmel, saying it "changed the course of [their] lives."

"He could have said Brad Pitt. He could've said, you know, George [Clooney], he could have said somebody else," he explained. "But he just, for some reason -- maybe I had a movie out that week or something -- but he just said my name."

Damon pointed out that Kimmel said the running gag "doesn't behave like any joke ever."

"He goes, 'I say the same joke every night ... and it gets a laugh every night,'" Damon explained. "He goes, 'It's the weirdest thing.'"

On Friday, the singer dropped the video for her new song, "Still Alive," from the soundtrack for "Scream VI," out March 10.

The video shows Lovato and her friends checking out a private screening of the movie, before they're attacked by Ghostface. Lovato, we gotta say, puts up a damn good fight!

The Final Girl anthem includes lyrics like, "I'm still alive/ I don't want to just survive/ Give me something to sink all my teeth in/ Eat the devil and spit out my demons."

"Still Alive/ Already died a thousand times/ Went to hell but I'm back and I'm breathing/ Make me bleed while my heart is still beating," she also sings, possibly referring to some of her own real-life battles in the past.

Sisters Who Were Victims of 'Monster' Jared Fogle Sex Crimes Speak Out

The women's mother and stepfather were jailed for secretly recording them nude in their home, after distributing the footage to the former Subway spokesman and others.

Christian Showalter and sister Hannah Parrett are just two of the many victims of former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, who is currently serving 15 years in prison for sex crimes involving minors. The pair -- who first met Fogle when they were just 13 and 11, respectively -- are now speaking out publicly in a new ID docuseries, "Jared From Subway: Catching a Monster" and in new interviews ahead of its premiere.

The sisters' mother Angela Baldwin and stepfather Russell Taylor were both convicted for placing hidden cameras around their home, to secretly record the two girls and their friends "fully nude and/or engaging in sexual activity," after distributing the footage to Fogle and others. Their mother -- who they say they no longer have contact with -- was given 33 years behind bars, while Taylor was sentenced to 27 years in prison.

Speaking with People, Showalter said, "[Fogle's] a monster. He's just a predator" -- before she and her sister opened up about the text messages they saw about themselves and their friends between Fogle and their stepfather.

"I think it was the first time that Jared had ever mentioned anything sexual, Russell had sent a photo of a friend of mine and [me] to Jared," claimed Parrett. "And of course, Jared was asking who she was and how I knew her and things like that. And then, he started to make sexual comments about her body and what she looked like. Russell showed these to me and wanted me to express those things to her."

Parrett said Fogle would "rate us on a scale of who he would want to have sex with more," as Showalter noted "some of them [had] not even hit puberty yet." They said he began grooming them, would "want to talk to us about masturbation and sex with our partners at the time" and "would very much so want us to watch porn."

Showalter told Yahoo! the pair decided to participate in the upcoming documentary to "not only have a voice, but maybe be the voice for other people who don't yet have that. And to remind them that, you do have it."

Noting that the two are "survivors," she said the pair "owed it" to their "inner victims" to speak out in the doc about "what happened to them" when they were younger.

Parrett said her connection to the case always "brought out a lot of negative feelings" for her, especially when others would talk about it in school or public or when she saw reports in the news. Now, she says, headlines only serve as a reminder "of how far I've come from that." Parrett said she loves her life today and acknowledged that sharing her story with others not only helps them, but herself. "I hate that these things happened, but I love what I'm doing about it," she added, "And that's what means the most to me."

"They're all equally responsible: Jared, Russell and Angela, but when I look at the reasons they're responsible, it's for all different reasons," Showalter told Yahoo. "Jared, I think, is responsible for initiating it and for wanting the pornography and wanting to prey on, not only me and my sister, but our friends and other young girls and young boys."

ID's three-part series aims to tell the "previously untold story of the investigation that exposed the monster insidiously lurking behind Fogle's charming persona and how his true nature as a child sex predator was finally revealed."

The series will chart Fogle's rise to fame after losing 245 pounds by eating at Subway and his fall from grace. In addition to interviews with Hannah and Christian, the doc will also include interviews with Rochelle Herman, a journalist who worked with the FBI to investigate Fogle.

"Jared from Subway: Catching a Monster" premieres Monday, March 6 on ID and Discovery+.

Heidi Klum's Husband Getting Autopsy After Sudden Dog Deaths

The Kaulitz brothers wondered on a podcast: "Is there a lunatic out there?"

Heidi Klum's husband Tom Kaulitz and his twin brother Bill Kaulitz are reflecting on the untimely deaths of their beloved fur babies.

During an episode of their podcast "Kaulitz Hills - Senf aus Hollywood," the Kaulitz brothers opened up about the death of their three dogs -- two of which belonged to Heidi and Tom.

Last month, the 49-year-old supermodel and the 33-year-old Tokio Hotel guitarist said goodbye to their German shorthaired pointer named Capper at 15-years-old. Shortly after losing Capper, their 4-year-old Irish wolfhound named Anton unexpectedly passed away three weeks later.

Following Anton, Bill's bulldog Stitch died last week.

The 33-year-old singer described Stitch as "perfectly healthy and happy"  leading up to his death and never suspected "he might have anything" regarding his health.

"He was never sick, never had to go to the doctor. And then, one Sunday, he suddenly collapsed and fell over. I was in shock," he explained.

The sibling duo revealed that their friends believed their dogs may have been poisoned.

"Stitch is also at an autopsy, where we hope to learn a few more things," Bill shared. "Sadly, we also had to think about whether it might be the case that everything is connected."

"It's so sad that you have to think that there is someone who wants to harm you so much that he kills your animals," Tom continued. "Is there a lunatic out there?"

Back in February, Heidi took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to Anton following his death.

Along with a carousel of images of the happy couple posing with their sweet pet, Klum wrote, "Spring's such a beautiful Day Today ❤️ We did not know it would be our last."

Following the passing of Capper, she also posted, "Forever Loved Forever in our hearts."

In his own post to his Instagram, Bill memorialized Stitch in a series of photos and videos of the bulldog running and playing with his tongue out.

"I will never understand why life took you from me so early, so unexpectedly, so sudden, only days after we lost our Capper, when you were only 4 years old," he captioned the post.

"My heart is broken and miss you more than words could ever say. Thank u for being my home, my fearless and strong protector, for making me laugh and feel joy ever day looking at your little face," he continued.

Ryan Edwards' Text Messages That Landed Him in Jail Revealed, Per Legal Docs

The "Teen Mom" alum was arrested on Wednesday, just two days after his estranged wife Mackenzie filed for divorce.

Ryan Edwards faced more legal trouble earlier this week after he was arrested for stalking and violating an order of protection obtained by his estranged wife, Mackenzie.

And it's now been revealed how he allegedly broke the order, and what ultimately led to his arrest, per court docs.

As shown in legal docs obtained by Us Weekly, the "Teen Mom" alum reportedly sent Mackenzie two text messages despite being warned not to contact her. Ryan is said to have texted Mackenzie on February 19, only nine days after he was told not to reach out to his ex amid her order of protection.

"My god I don't haven't to live my life without you! Sorry!" the reality star is said to have written in a message, which he sent on February 19.

Three days later, he is said to have texted Mackenzie for a second time, "For what it's worth, I'm sorry and I do miss you."

Ryan was then arrested on Wednesday. According to a press release shared by Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, the MTV star was taken into custody for stalking and violating an order of protection.

His arrest came just two days after Mackenzie filed for divorce from Ryan following six years of marriage, per Us Weekly. The 26-year-old was also granted a restraining order in addition to temporary custody of their two kids: Jagger, 5, and Stella, 2.

Last month, Ryan was arrested in Hamilton County, Tennessee after allegedly breaking an order of protection granted to Mackenzie. He is said to have shared revealing pictures of her online and accused her of infidelity.

According to a press release via the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, the 35-year-old violated the order by speaking with her father after it was issued. The Sheriff's Office also found he had an active warrant for harassment -- with Mackenzie listed as the victim -- before they arrested him at his place of employment.

Ryan was found "to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected narcotics" when he was arrested.

In total, he was booked on harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and the order of protection violation.

Ryan has faced a series of legal troubles over the years, including arrests for theft of services, heroin possession and violating terms of his probation. He's also struggled with substance abuse.

Ryan and Mackenzie memorialized their relationship on the "Teen Mom" series from 2009 to 2021. In 2016, the couple got engaged and tied the knot five months later in 2017. The former couple welcomed their son Jagger in 2018 and their daughter Stella in 2020.

Ryan also shares a son, Bentley, 14, with ex Maci Bookout. The co-parenting relationship between Maci and Ryan has always been a tense one, amid Ryan's past battles with substance abuse and his arrests.

How Olympic Bobsledder Aja Evans Overcame Anxiety Following Training Accident

Aja also opened up about her time away from competing following a ban in 2022, her thoughts on a possible Olympic return in 2026, and new documentary Citizen Athlete.

Aja Evans doesn't let anxiety get in the way of giving it her all on the ice.

The professional bobsledder is no stranger to getting back on her feet after experiencing hardship while pursing her love of the sport. Back in December 2021 -- two months before the US team was named -- the Olympic bronze medalist was hospitalized after a training accident that resulted in severe facial lacerations. After spending a month in recovery, the athlete joined the Olympic team in 2022 as an alternate. Later in November of that year, Evans accepted a two year ban from USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) after unintentionally failing to provide a drug test for an out-of-competition test.

With the release of "Citizen Athlete," produced by Reign Total Body Fuel, Evans will tell the story of her journey at the 2022 Winter Olympics alongside the rest of the US women's bobsledding team.

What are you most excited for America to see about the experiences of the US women's bobsledding team with the release of Citizen Athlete?

I feel like America gets to see bobsled highlighted, you know once every four years on the big stage, and this documentary really takes a look into what it takes for us to get that 60 seconds or less on the ice at the Olympic Games. I think that's the power in the documentary -- you get to see the real people behind it. We wear helmets and ski suits, but we're very much human beings, very much capable of catching COVID, battling citizenship and injuries. You really get an overview of all the obstacles even we could not foresee in making the Olympic team.

Back in December 2021, you were in a training accident that resulted in facial lacerations. Can you take us through the chain of events?

I mean, my accident took place when I was in Hamburg, Germany training with my team and we were at the push track … just getting in some training runs and it was my first time there but the training is pretty standard, no matter where you are. But unfortunately, I was in a bit of a fuss and I didn't have a helmet on when I hopped in the sled and … it's kind of like a mini roller coaster that is indoor with a wall coming up.

As its going, once I pass the time, I will usually start to cool the brakes, but I was pulling what I thought was the braking mechanism. It didn't work. And so the sled didn't slow down, I ran out of space and opportunity [and] kind of slammed into the wall…

Everything was kind of black from there, but my teammates were completely amazing and just the support and aid they provided during that time and just really being there for me. No competition, no Olympics. None of that mattered. They were like my sisters at that moment. That probably saved my life.

How long was your recovery period? What was it like coming back to the game?

The accident happened in the middle of when I was still pursuing the Olympics…it was two months before they named the Olympic team. I had a month to recover at home and it worked out enough to where two weeks of those four were the Christmas break so I didn't miss that much competition. I spent that time healing at home in Atlanta, mentally and physically and then doing my training there.

I rejoined the team for the second half and just did what I could to be the best teammate and athlete and support throughout the remainder of the World Cup season. And then, when the team was announced for the Olympics, they asked if I would support the team in an alternate role. You know, it hit a little hard at first because it took a lot for me to return to score after my accident as well as just my journey. I think that was the best decision I could have ever made. Taking that alternate role showed me truly what I'm capable of, especially when there's no Olympic medal or competition…I was really there to help two rookie brakemen have the best first Olympic experience and a successful one and so I really felt like everything I learned came to that moment and I was able to help them and provide the team with whatever they needed.

How do you keep experiences like your accident from getting in your head when you're performing?

It does get to me and I think that the best part about just acknowledging that is that I have to acknowledge that it affects me and I'm a real person and it's something that I have to work through. Once I acknowledge that, then I can start figuring out ways to cope with those feelings in those moments.

I was experiencing a lot of new feelings in an environment where I still had to keep a competitive front. So for me, it was really good to have a supportive team outside of bobsled. I have great therapists and family. Those people really helped to encourage me to stay in the game while it was difficult and scary. They comforted me and provided what I needed in that supportive role, but honestly, I had to face my fears a couple of times, and that helped me to get past it as well. But if I didn't acknowledge it, then it wouldn't have been something I could get past.

Are there specific steps that you usually take to get yourself out of that mental block once you're about to get on the sled?

If there was a mental block there … One, just let it settle for a second because I think for a long time, I was triggering myself to try and act like it's not there or think positive or force myself to think otherwise. Sometimes if you just sit in that moment, it dissipates and it isn't as intense. So once I kind of acknowledged it and was able to get a better idea of where that anxiety and nerves were coming from, I reminded myself of all the work I put in -- the hours, days, months, years to this very moment.

That's what I rely on when it's go time, and so nothing I do that day is going to change that, for the worse or for the better. It's all about putting together what I've been working on. So knowing that I put my everything into my training and my preparation leading up to competition helps me to snap out of it when it gets difficult on game day.

Back in November, you were banned by USADA from competing for two years. When you accepted the ban, you said you'd use the time to "focus on my health and wellbeing." How has the time away been treating you?

The time away has been great for me.  As unfortunate as that situation was -- again, I feel like one of the things I've worked through just from a personal perspective is realizing I'm human -- let alone letting the world realize I'm human. So giving myself that space to focus on my mental health and focus on my inner feelings, I've realized I can't be everything I need to be for everyone else. Of course the sanction is for a couple years so that allows me to focus on what I need to without worrying about competing and being what I need to for everyone else. I'm doing the most I can with the time and it's definitely been a transformative experience for me.

Are you planning on returning for the 2026 games?

I like having the option to return if I want to at that time. 2026… that's a bit of ways away from me for right now. But, you know, I'm blessed to still have my health. I'm blessed to still have my eligibility and to even acknowledge things I needed to acknowledge to better improve my performance regarding my mental health.

I think that if I chose to compete in 2026 it would be better than any other Olympic games I've ever been in but you know, I can't call it at this moment.

Is there any part of your story or experience that you reveal in Citizen Athlete that you've felt has been previously untold?

As an Olympian, as an athlete and a public figure, our successes or our performances are highlighted in such an extreme light that it doesn't show the world the reality of what we go through and what we deal with, from a variety of perspectives.

This was during a time where I literally had stitches throughout my entire face and I'm in the middle of pursuing an Olympic Games and so it was a very vulnerable time for me, but I'm really proud of myself for sharing that with the world and I'm proud of the growth I had through that moment.

The forward player made his move from Hoffenheim to Liverpool for around 46 million during the summer of 2015. He has scored 107 goals and provided 78 assists in 352 competitive appearances.

Klopp has always showed interest that he wants Firmino to renew his contract with Liverpool. He is Brazil's highest goalscorer in the Premier League (78 goals) as of the 2022/23 season.

Gunmen Leave Cryptic Message After Attacking Lionel Messi's Family Store

Unidentified gunmen attacked and opened fire on a family store owned by Lionel Messi's in-laws in Rosario, Argentina.

The people of Rosario, Argentina, were thrown into a situation of panic when unidentified gunmen attacked a supermarket owned by the in-laws of the Argentine star Lionel Messi.

The gunmen had opened fire on the supermarket, and although no one was injured, they had left a cryptic message for the football star which stated:

"Messi, we're waiting for you. Javkin is also a drug trafficker, so he won't take care of you."

Al Jazeera reported:

The city's mayor, Pablo Javkin, went to the supermarket and lashed out at federal authorities over what he called their failure to curb a surge in drug-related violence in Rosario, located about 300km (190 miles) northwest of the capital of Buenos Aires.

Police said two men on a motorcycle fired at least a dozen shots into a Unico branch in the early hours, leaving a message on cardboard that read, "Messi, we're waiting for you. Javkin is also a drug trafficker, so he won't take care of you."

Nick Viall Says Bachelor Zach Shallcross Has Been a 'Total D---' to Show's Women

Originally dubbed the "boring" Bachelor, Zach Shallcross has been raising eyebrows, with former Bachelor Nick Viall calling him out for how he handled two recent incidents.

Zach Shallcross has been criticized through much of this season of "The Bachelor" for being boring. Now, though, he's facing a very different criticism for how he's been treating the women in recent episodes.

Former franchise lead Nick Viall, who knows a thing or 20 about juggling multiple women on a reality dating show, called out Zach over two recent incidents on the show, saying the 25 year old was a "total d---."

After the latest episode, Viall jumped on Twitter to express his frustration with the direction the season has been going, and Zach's behavior specifically.

In the episode, Jess Girod was spiraling over the fact that she was the only (non-Covid-infected) contestant to have not yet had a One-on-One. The other women tried to console her, but she was inconsolable, feeling that she was falling way behind everyone else in building her relationship.

While Jess was a lot about it, she wasn't entirely wrong in her thinking. One-on-One dates allow a single contestant to spend an entire day and evening with Zach, incomparable time to open up and build a stronger connection.

Where things took an unexpected turn was when Jess expressed her fears and concerns about not getting a One-on-One to Zach and he dismissed her out of turn, almost getting frustrated with her for feeling this way.

Zach tried to argue that it's not about the One-on-One but about spending quality time together when they do get that chance, but Jess wasn't buying that ... and neither was Nick.

"That's 2 weeks in [a] row now Zach was a total d--- to one of the wom[e]n," he tweeted. "It's literally all about the one on one. Zach knows that. He made Jess feel like she messed up for expressing a valid concern."

After spiraling back and forth and making no progress in understanding one another's points of view, Zach ultimately booted Jess altogether from the competition, walking her out. Jess was stunned in the limo, as she did not expect their conversation to end her journey, and later told Us Weekly she felt "blindsided."

Talking to the outlet at the recent "Women Tell All" taping, Jess had nothing but praise for Zach, though, calling him "an amazing guy." She chalked it up to them not understanding one another or communicating well.

"it doesn't mean that I was in the right and he was in the wrong. Like, there was no right or wrong," she said. "He was speaking his truth. I was speaking mine the best that we could, so I was not ever upset with him. It was more of just, like, I wish we could have understood each other."

Nick, however, continued to lay into Zach on social media for the move. "Zach is acting like the guy who gets mad at his girlfriend for not letting him know she wanted validation on her birthday," he tweeted.

The previous incident Nick referenced happened while Zach was in quarantine for Greer Blitzer. She was the aforementioned contestant who had Covid this past week and was able to continue in the competition despite not appearing at all.

Two weeks ago, though, it was Zach who was sick, isolating in his room. In an unprecedented decision, he and the producers decided to have a virtual Cocktail Party, where the women would come in one at a time and chat with Zach before a virtual elimination Rose Ceremony.

For her part, Greer attempted to empathize with Zach's situation by comparing his frustration missing out at this key moment in his journey to her having had Covid previously at the end of a quarter, impacting her sales goals.

"I know how you feel missing out on things," she told him. But he did not receive this comparison well at all, aggressively telling her, "I think me missing out on finding a wife is slightly more important," he argued.

Like Jess, Greer attempted multiple times to express herself in a way to make it clear she wasn't trying to minimize his experience or say it was equal to sales. She was just trying to relate to him and what he was going through, but they never got on the same page, either.

The cringe conversation quickly went viral, with Zach getting his first flack for something other than being boring. The noise was so much that Zach came out and addressed it himself in an interview with Variety.

"Watching it back, I completely empathize with her," Zach conceded. "I think she was really just trying to connect and relate with me when I had Covid, and really I was just already frustrated with everything going on."

"I definitely could have delivered my sentiment in a lot more of a respectful way, in a calmer way," he continued. "It was just one of those conversations that just was off. No excuse, I should have responded better, so I totally, totally, 100 percent get where she's coming from."

Zach has not addressed the dismissal of Jess, but Greer appeared to allude to the controversy after the episode aired, sharing an Instagram post captioned, "Women who care about their careers are hot."

"The Bachelor" is down to its Top 7 with new episodes airing every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Camila Alves McConaughey Talks 'Chaos,' Shares Footage from Flight That Dropped 4,000 Feet

Camila Alves, wife of Matthew McConaughey, shared video footage of the aftermath of severe turbulence that forced an emergency landing and sent seven to the hospital.

The Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt, Germany that made the news Thursday after it was forced into an emergency landing after suddenly dropping 4,000 feet had at least one famous passenger on board.

Camila Alves, wife of Matthew McConaughey, was on the flight Wednesday evening and managed to snag some footage of the aftermath of the extremely bumpy ride.

"On flight last night, plane dropped 4000 feet," she wrote alongside the video share on Instagram, adding, "7 people went to the hospital, Everything was flying everywhere."

She hinted that she has more footage from the frightening flight, but "to respect the privacy of those around" her, she limited what she shared. But she did offer more details about the experience.

"The plane was a CHAOS And the turbulence keep on coming," she wrote. She also verified that this was the Lufthansa flight that people were seeing in the news cycle on Thursday. "Yes ... that one."

She added, "Thank God everyone was safe and ok."

Alves then praised the airport in Washington and the local Marriott for being "so kind," as well as all their efforts in getting herself and the other passengers booked on new flights.

After the flight's precipitous drop from 37,000 feet, which happened in  flight over Tennessee, the plane was diverted to Washington D.C. It had originally taken off from Austin, TX, where Alves lives. At 9:12 p.m. ET, the plane safely landed per the Federal Aviation Administration, as reported by Us Weekly.

Another man who claimed his wife was on the plane shared a picture of debris on the floor of the plane. According to his Twitter post, "people who didn't have the seat belts fastened got hurt." In his unsubstantiated post, the man claims that because the turbulence happened so quickly, the fasten seat belt lights were not on. He also wrote that lightning hit the plane.

Lufthansa told WUSA9 in a statement that "the company is currently reviewing the exact situation together with its own staff an with national and international athorities." The statement went on to add, "Lufthansa regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew members is Lufthansa's top priority at all times."

On Thursday, Alves was back on her way to Germany, sharing new video footage from inside the new plane to her Instagram Stories where she smirked that she'd just endured another 45 minutes of turbulence.
