The Voice Premiere 5th Judge: Singer from Blake Shelton's Hometown Plays Audio of Him Singing at 13

{content:

New Coaches Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper pull out all the stops against Blake Shelton and the returning Kelly Clarkson -- plus, an incredible Sam Cooke cover takes everyone to church.

In case anyone forgot, Blake Shelton said over and over again that this was his last season on "The Voice." He did it alongside Kelly Clarkson, returning for her ninth season, and newcomers Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan.

This first night of Blind Auditions was as much about these Coaches developing their competitively playful rapport as it was about finding new talent. We were pleased with the quick camaraderie that developed between all of them, but mostly were glad to see Kelly back to spar with Blake. She's been the best since Adam Levine at keeping him in check.

NBC has to be sweating bullets trying to figure out how to move forward without the old man who's been here since Day 1. He's as much of an institution for the network as the show itself. He brings so much personality and charm … let's just say, they better hope Kelly keeps having a good enough time to come back!

In a fun treat online (and maybe for a future episode), the new Coaches performed "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." The biggest surprise for fans online was to hear how beautiful of a tone Chance has when singing, as he doesn't usually dip into that talent. But it also emphasized that he should not be underestimated as a rapper, producer and singer!

Fair warning, since I'm safe at home, I'm probably going to be a little harsher than my colleagues Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton. But I might be nicer, too. Maybe.

And just for fun, I'm going to rank the performances from worst to first to see who my favorites are, and then see how they do as the season progresses.

Lizzo Skeptical Of Victoria Secret Show Return After Inclusivity Push

BLIND AUDITIONS

Emily Rhyne

("The First Cut Is the Deepest," Rod Stewart - 22, Ada, OK) Talk about a connection with a Coach, Emily grew up in Blake's hometown (not just state)! Alas, she hit a real sour note right off the top which actually elicited an audible groan out of us. She recovered nicely and had much better control after that, but the performance was surprisingly hesitant, like she was afraid to really belt. Honestly, it sounded like she lacked confidence in her own voice, offering shaky moments from start to finish and no real conviction in her sound. We loved that she took the rejection in stride and proceeded to bring out two gifts for her fellow Okie, Blake. She had a t-shirt signed by Ada musicians. She then revealed that he knew her grandpa, and had a recording of Blake at 13 years old after he went into a recording studio and laid down some tracks. It was actually incredibly adorable.

Results: No Chairs Turn

Star Martin

("No Woman No Cry," Bob Marley - 34, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) A soca (soul of calypso) singer for the past several years, she now has songs on the radio throughout the Caribbean, but she's ready to have a big break on the mainland. Despite her soca success, Star opted to go with a more straightforward take on this Bob Marley classic. It was a little timid with a hesitant, shaky vibrato in her voice. We did enjoy the subtle cry in her voice and that tone, but she didn't really offer any moment or showcase to convince the Coaches what else she had in there. It's such a stylized song, playing it straight like that made her a huge risk because what if she had that limited range and ability?

Results: No Chairs Turn

Sorelle

("Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy," Queen - 15/20/21, Lexington, OH) A little shaky in some of their upper range solo work, this trio of sisters brought great harmonies and some fun arrangements to a quirky track. They definitely were making a statement about how they see themselves as artists with their song choice, how they approached it and even their cute little choreography. There were also some strong solo moments sprinkled throughout, giving a lot of potential with Coaching to bring out the very best they have to offer both together and individually.

Selena Gomez 'Heart Has Been Heavy' Amid Hailey Bieber Drama, TikTok Return

Tasha Jessen

("River," Leon Bridges - 20, Colorado Springs, CO) Facing religious persecution as a Christian in Pakistan, her family fled. She got her U.S. Visa just last year and is now pursuing her dreams of making it as a singer and songwriter. We wish she'd have spent a little more time in her lower register as she has a really sweet tone down there. Instead, she started in her upper range and stayed there through so much of the song. We'd have liked a little more bluesy sound on the track, but there's no denying she has a great instrument. If she can take guidance, she could really grow in interesting ways.

Results: Chance, Niall, Blake Turn [Team Blake]

Michael B.

("Save Your Tears," The Weeknd - 29, Los Angeles, CA) Michael's dream was Broadway for so long. He auditioned for everything, but it never happened for him, so now he's going a different route with his music and dream. He said he's expanding more into pop and soul as a singer. With this song, it was all about if he was going to go for that first high note, and he was effortless climbing up there. Yes, you could hear that musical theater background in his tone, but it made for a very full sound which suited the song well. That said, he needs to work on pulling back some of those theatrical excesses to go with a more emotionally resonant connection. This made us believe he could get there, and we could not deny the control and range he has with a very clean, pure voice.

Results: Niall Turns [Team Niall]

D.Smooth

("Perfect," Ed Sheeran - 25, Birmingham, AL) An unexpected vocal take on the track, there were moments of this that were -- ahem -- "perfect," while others felt like he was losing the pitch a bit. It could have been nerves, but it pulled us in and out of the performance more than we liked. There is something very intriguing about his tone in that it's a sound that feels solid, but not yet defined. It feels like D.Smooth could be chameleonic on his journey, sliding effortlessly into different styles and genres.

Scheana Shay and Lala Kent Hit Back at Hypocrite Label Amid Tom Sandoval-Raquel Leviss Scandal

Holly Brand

("Mississippi Girl," Faith Hill - 22, Meridian, MS) At just 10 years old, Holly got to perform on the first big stage she'd ever been on -- and it was to open for Blake. She was rooting for him to turn around before she even hit the stage. She competed in Miss America last year, as well, pushing her music through the pageant circuit for nearly a decade. Now, she put her voice forward for this opportunity and ironically, Blake was the only chair she didn't turn. She missed just a few notes and tried to shake her pretty singing to find a little more grit. She also showed some impressive falsetto moments (and even whistle notes), a strong vibrato and a lot of range that hints at the same kind of crossover success Faith Hill enjoyed. It's a very commercial sound in any genre.

Results: Kelly, Chance, Niall Turn [Team Kelly]

Alex Whalen

("Help Me Make It Through the Night," Sammi Smith - 43, Indian Rocks Beach, FL) This Engishman plays music for a living, but said that it's kind of soul-destroying singing in the background of people's days and nobody cares about you or what you're doing. He's got that weathered texture in his voice that sounds special even when he's singing mellow as he gets through a verse. When he let loose just a fraction on the chorus, that grit we knew was in there came out, but so did a great little cry. It's a great instrument that he has, and one we think would be hard to ignore playing live. His experience shines through and creates an overall package we could see people really rooting for.

Results: Chance, Blake Turn [Team Blake]

Neil Salsich

("Honky Tonk Blues," Hank Williams Jr. - 34, St. Louis, MO) Neil could have just given a straightforward honky tonk rendition of this, but instead he put some special flare on this performance that pushed him from throwback country sound to someone really interesting. That raspy twang-break got Chance to turn around immediately and revealed that there's an artist in there who knows how to stand out. On top of that, it was just a solid vocal throughout with good pitch and a great, laid back energy. We fully believed in him when he said country music is just one of the "wells he drinks from."

Results: 4-Chair Turn (Blake Blocks Kelly) [Team Blake]

Ross Clayton

("Blue Ain't Your Color," Keith Urban - 33, McCloud, OK) Ross set aside his burgeoning music career to focus more on family, taking a more traditional 9-5 to pay the bills and be able to stay home more. Now, he said it's been nearly five years since he's really performed at all, but with the kids a little older, his wife kept urging him, "Take a chance." Right off the bat, we believed him, which is so important for storytelling. You could tell he's a seasoned vet, and you could not tell he's taken any time away from gigging. The texture of his voice fit like a warm blanket at night, with just a hint of ragged around the edges. Add to that a few moments where he went high and proved he could to that long, sustained note that impressed everyone, and Ross is a real threat on this show. He's authentic and incredibly talented and so ready.

Results: 4-Chair Turn [Team Niall]

Savion "NOIVAS" Wright

("A Change Is Gonna Come," Sam Cooke - 30, Hutto, TX) His father and grandfather were on the frontlines in the fight for racial equality, so the message of this song really hits home for NOIVAS. Before he even showed us the full church of his voice, all four chairs had turned and Blake was Blocked by Chance. He was taking no chances (heh) that the cowboy might come in and swoop up this incredibly special artist. The pain and weight that he carries as an ambassador for the fight and for the culture and for his people was incredible. You could hear it from the first note; it was a performance filled with such passion and commitment. It just got better from the first note, with power and grit and stank. Every choice he made served the message and the performance, leaving everyone breathless.

Matthew Lawrence Plans on Having Baby with TLC's Chilli

{content:

The couple have already been introduced to their respective families and the "Boy Meets World" star said the singer's son is "so cool."

Matthew Lawrence and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas have babies on their minds!

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 43-year-old "Boy Meets World" alum opened up about his new relationship with the TLC star and their plans to start a family.

When asked if the two see children in their future, Lawrence confirmed, "That's the game plan. That's what we're trying to do."

"My life is in complete bloom right now. I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli," he continued. "I've never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before. She's really, really special."

"It was just real friendship, you know, for like five or six months, just talking on the phone long distance, like, getting to know each other, see each other here and there," Matthew said of the start of their romance.

The couple first sparked dating rumors when they were photographed in Hawaii in August; they later confirmed their relationship via Chilli's rep.

Their confirmation came just over three months after Lawrence and his ex-wife Cheryl Burke finalized their divorce after three years of marriage.

Chilli already shares 25-year-old son Tron with her ex Dallas Austin.

According to the "Mrs. Doubtfire" actor, the two share many core values that have allowed them to connect on a deeper level.

"She's just got, you know, her morals and her values, the way she treats her family. She loves my family, so important. We get along," he explained. "It's weird, you know, we have similar upbringings. We have similar families. There are similarities that you wouldn't necessarily think between us and it really works."

In fact, Lawrence and Chilli have met each other's families, including Tron who Matthew calls, "so cool."

"He's getting in shape. He's making me feel like I gotta start doing pushups and stuff," he joked.

Rebel Wilson Says Meghan Markle Not as 'Naturally Warm' as Prince Harry on First Meeting

{content:

The "Cats" star claimed her mother's "rude" questions could have been the reason why the Duchess wasn't as "cool" as the British royal

Rebel Wilson is opening up about an apparently awkward royal run-in with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen," the 43-year-old "Pitch Perfect" alum detailed her first interaction with the royal couple and the totally different vibes she felt from the pair.

Wilson explained her mother had been visiting her in California when they had met the twosome.

"We went up to Santa Barbara [and] met Harry. [He] could not have been nicer," the "Senior Year" star gushed about Prince Harry. Though they had never met prior, she shared that the two have a mutual friend.

While her pleasantries with the Duke of Sussex came off as welcoming, Wilson claimed Meghan "was not as cool."

"She wasn't as naturally warm," the "Bridesmaids" actress recalled. "And then my mom, being Australian, just asked her all these slightly rude questions … like, 'Where are your kids?' and things like that. So maybe that's why she [wasn't happy]."

Elsewhere in her appearance, Wilson -- who played Jennyanydots in the 2019 movie adaptation -- opened up about how she reacted first watching the completed version of "Cats."

"They actually showed me the version with no digital effects whatsoever, so I saw us all in these kinds of lycra tight outfits," Wilson said, responding to a question from a caller. "That was the first time I ever watched it, and I was like, 'Aww that's good.'"

"I only saw it for the first time at the premiere sitting next to everybody, and I just went, 'Ohhh, that's ... that's ...,'" she continued, trailing off before bursting into laughter. "That's what I said."

The "WWHL" caller also asked Wilson if she "saw any footage" of the film's "infamous butthole cut." Before she answered the question, host Andy Cohen explained -- for those who don't know -- that the "cats initially had buttholes that were digitally removed." In response, Wilson hilariously admitted, "I didn't remember buttholes."

"Cats," a live-action/CGI hybrid adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber musical of the same name, featured an all-star cast including Wilson, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, James Corden, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo and more. Despite the star power, the film was a box office flop, and was ripped by critics, fans and even Webber himself.

Aubrey O'Day Reveals She Suffered Miscarriage: 'Beyond Heartbroken'

{content:

O'Day first revealed her pregnancy in January, when she placed her hand on her baby bump on the red carpet.

Aubrey O'Day has suffered a miscarriage.

In a statement to E! News, the former Danity Kane singer said she was "beyond heartbroken" to share the news, adding that while it wasn't her first time being pregnant, it was "the first time I was mentally healthy and in a physically prepared place to care for another life."

Alluding to her loss Monday on Instagram as well, she wrote, "I wouldn't change anything. I think that it's important to let things happen, and stay 'happened.'"

"People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they are right ... and sometimes things you want most fall apart so that better things can fall together," she added. "Everything happens for a reason, I'll always love u my lil one. 🤍"

The singer, 39, first revealed her pregnancy in January, after she was seen with her hand on her baby bump on the red carpet.

Following her miscarriage, O'Day confessed she did have moments where she "blamed" herself for it -- but added, "luckily I realized there isn't only one seat at the table."

She still believes that "when my baby is ready, he/she will come" and "forever be my grateful miracle" -- and said she'd be opening up her DMs on Instagram to any women who have also "experienced this grief" and need someone to talk to.

O'Day never revealed who she was expecting a child with, but did tell The Sun back in January she had "someone special in my life."

Rock the Block's Ty Pennington Was Nearly a Male Model, But Life Had Other Plans (Exclusive)

{content:

The HGTV star reflects on the car accident that changed the trajectory of his career and looks back at how home renovation shows have changed since his Trading Spaces years.

Ty Pennington has been TV's go-to carpenter and home renovation host since 2000 -- but he nearly made it big in another profession in front of the camera: male model.

Earlier this year, the 58-year-old HGTV star revealed that when he was just 27 he finally got his big break as a male model -- landing the cover of J. Crew catalog -- before a "horrible car accident" changed the trajectory of his career.

"I love that we say trajectory too because that's what it was. I flew out of that Jeep and fell on my back," Pennington cracked while speaking with TooFab about the new season of "Rock the Block," which returns for its fourth season today on HGTV.

Pennington shared a recreation of the cover shot in January, as well as the original image. In his caption, he explained that one week after learning he landed the cover, he was "Catapulted out of a barreling jeep, sliding across a razor sharp road on my backside." He added, "Somehow I survived ... my buttocks sadly did not."

The crash -- and the "staples and stitches" that followed -- ended his modeling career in its tracks. Things got so bad, he said, the photos in his portfolio were even used as toilet paper by someone who broke into his brother's car. But looking back, Ty has a pretty great outlook on the whole ordeal and how it led him to where he is today.

"Everyone knows a career in male modeling, you're going to make millions and I was maybe making $100 a day ... but I just find it interesting that like I'd finally made it with the J. Crew cover, the phone was about to go off the hook, but the universe literally wiped me away from that future," he shared. "I had no idea at the time but it made me go back to just doing construction and I would have never gone on the audition for 'Trading Spaces' if I had not been going back to construction. Because my agency wouldn't even call me anymore."

"But look, I've always gone through whatever door of opportunity opens, because you never know what that experience is going to lead to," he said, adding that modeling helped him become comfortable on camera, something from which he'd benefit greatly when TV came calling. "To this day, I still think people hire me because I make other people comfortable on camera. Like, that's my gift," he added, "but yeah, it's funny how there's a path that we don't even know is being laid out for us."

For Pennington, that path included starring on TLC's "Trading Spaces" back in 2000, before going on to headline "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and countless shows on HGTV, including "Rock the Block" and "Battle on the Beach." In those 20+ years in the home renovation space, the landscape has changed immensely -- especially for someone whose first show only gave contestants $1,000 to remodel a single room.

"In many ways, 'Trading Spaces' is the first show that put tools in the hands of homeowners and so it turned us all into DIY-ers. But for me I love to see how it's evolved," said Pennington. "We're at the point now where we see so many images coming across our screens that I think people are more able to look at taking risks in design now because they've seen so many."

"It's like the way we are with food. We used to only eat iceberg lettuce and now we're like, 'Oh, I'll have arugula.' It's just like with design," he continued, adding that the variety and willingness to take risks has made it all the more interesting and really upped the ante for viewers.

"That's also why I want to be dazzled visually. I know what's out there, I know what we're capable of, so don't just give me a white room. I want to see some real good designs," he continued.

On "Rock the Block," four teams of HGTV superstars each renovate identical, 5,000-square-foot homes on the same Colorado cul-de-sac with a $250,000 budget. The winner is the pair who adds the most value to the property. Ty hosts the show, while competing teams include New Kids on the Block alum Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin of "Farmhouse Fixer," Bryan and Sarah Baeumler of "Renovation Island," Michael Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle of "Luxe or Less" and Page Turner and Mitch Glew from "Fix My Flip."

"Look, 'Trading Spaces,' we were doing rooms for $1,000. I look at it as The Beatles playing Germany, in these really dive clubs. You learn your trade when you take the extras out from under somebody, pull the rug out," said Ty, before drawing comparisons between his early days and latest project. "But I think that's also what happens when you take these designers and artists and throw them into a space that they've never walked. They've only got literally 6 weeks to knock this whole thing out, that's what I love about it."

"I'm not easily wowed, I've been doing this a while. But these kitchens are stunners, every single one of them. You immediately realize, 'Oh damn, this is going to be an interesting season,'" he added of tonight's season premiere. "The flavors, there's just a lot of variety. A lot of work went into it and these guys were dead tired, I'm super proud of the teams. I didn't know Jonathan could not only rock it on the stage, but he can rock it on the block. No joke. He really worked his ass off, I'm impressed."

While Knight and his costars had to put in some serious elbow grease, Pennington was more than happy to sit back and watch everyone else work this time around.

"I'm like, 'Hallelujah, I have made it!' I'm finally the guy who doesn't have to be sweating and can barely stand on the ladder anymore," he exclaimed. "Being the host is awesome, but I'm also super competitive, so I'm thinking what would I do?"

"I know sometimes people need to sort of ask themselves, 'Am I making the right choice? Am I going in the right direction?' And who would have guessed I'd be the voice of reason, that I'm like, 'No, stick with what you're doing,'" he added of his pep talks with the competitors. "Sometimes we second guess ourselves, especially when the whole world's going to be watching. That's the kind of pressure I can see people under and I love that I have enough experience to be like, 'No man, you guys stay the course, you're on the right track.'

That advice certainly pertains to Pennington's own career as well. See him in action when "Rock the Block" returns today, March 6, on HGTV.

Gigi Hadid on Being a Nepo Baby, Raising Khai with Ex Zayn Malik

{content:

The model speaks out on privilege, raising her child under constant media scrutiny and co-parenting with former One Direction star Zayn

Unlike some celebrities, Gigi Hadid admits what many stars are reluctant to share -- just how much her well-connected and wealthy upbringing has impacted her career and viewpoint as a new parent.

"Technically I'm a nepotism baby," Gigi told The Sunday Times. "I've always acknowledged that I come from privilege. My parents told me, 'Just because you have parents who were successful, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't walk into the job being as nice and as hard-working as you can be.'"

Gigi's teen years were far from typical, as she and her siblings had to deal with "Real Housewives" cameras, paparazzi and almost guaranteed social media fame with Yolanda Hadid and Mohamed Hadid as parents. Now, Gigi tries to protect two-year-old daughter Khai from too much attention -- particularly from unwanted photographs, something she's learned from her own experience with famous parents.

"The only thing that really bothers me is if it's going to take away from me trying to experience things with my daughter because I'm trying to protect her from that," she told the Times of constant media scrutiny.

Khai's time is split between parents Gigi and Zayn Malik after their reportedly dramatic split during the pandemic.

The model shared with the Times how she and her former partner place the emphasis on Khai's experience and not their own.

"Just keeping the importance of the child's happiness at the forefront," says Gigi. "That she can be with both parents makes me very happy."

Of coparenting with Malik she was careful to offer any advice to others facing a similar situation, simply noting to keep in mind, "You have a long life alongside this person."

Tom Sandoval-Raquel Leviss Alleged Affair: Vanderpump Fans Spot New Details

{content:

Sandoval actually dressed up as his alleged mistress this past Halloween, months after the pair reportedly began their affair.

After the alleged affair between "Vanderpump Rules" stars Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss was exposed, eagle-eyed internet sleuths have uncovered some shady behavior between them that previously went under the radar.

According to TMZ, Ariana Madix dumped the restauranteur after discovering the alleged affair, which reportedly began last summer. That revelation has caused some to take a closer look at Tom and Raquel's past interactions -- uncovering a few shockers.

One of the more surprising revelations is Sandoval actually dressed up for Halloween as his alleged mistress in October 2022. This would have been after he allegedly started hooking up with Leviss and long before his split from Ariana.

At the time, Tom dressed up as Raquel in a TomTom sweatshirt with a blond wig and sunglasses.

"Guys, look who I ran into," Levis quipped at the time. "It's Raquel from BravoCon day 3! Oh, my God. Wow, Raquel, I can't believe you would frickin' wear that sweatshirt."

Tom later reposted the same Story to his own account with the caption, "Raquel has got to stop showing up to TomTom it's embarrassing."

The Halloween costume was a reference to Leviss' social media battle with Katie Maloney, who called her a "fan girl'' after she was spotted wearing a TomTom hoodie. TomTom was founded by Sandoval and the 35-year-old's ex-husband, Tom Schwartz.

Another detail that's raised some eyebrows: the pair's jewelry.

Followers of the reality show believe the two have been hiding their affair in plain sight after noticing the two have been rocking matching lightning bolt necklaces since October 2022.

Based on their respective social media pages, Sandoval seems to wear his necklace daily, while Leviss alternates her jewelry based on her outfit of the day.

Photos of the necklaces date back to BravoCon in October, where Raquel was seen rocking the pendant while Madix was also in attendance.

So far, almost everybody in the show's cast has spoken out about the situation -- and they've all made it clear they're #TeamAriana. See their reactions in the gallery below.

Paris Hilton Tried Sneaking Khloe Kardashian Into a Club as a Teenager

{content:

"We put so much effort into our disguises," she said as she recalled how she attempted to get middle school-aged Khloe and cousin Farrah past the velvet rope.

Paris Hilton is sharing new details from her party girl years -- including the time she tried smuggling a tween Khloe Kardashian into a club.

The 42-year-old heiress shared the story of how she attempted to sneak the Good American founder, cousin (and daughter of Kyle Richards) Farrah and her own sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild into a L.A. hotspot back in the day in an excerpt of her new book "Paris: The Memoir," published by The Times.

"One night I tried to smuggle my sister Nicky, our cousin Farrah and our friend Khloé Kardashian into Bar One," Hilton began. "Khloé and Farrah were little middle-school girls, so I did Khloé up with full makeup, a long red wig and a floppy black hat."

The DJ remembered getting creative with the girls' alter egos and claimed she told Kardashian that "If anyone asks, your name is Betsey Johnson'" -- who is, of course, a famous designer.

Hilton claimed she even put Farrah "on top of somebody's shoulders with a big trench coat" -- noting, "We put so much effort into our disguises, we were shocked when we didn't get past the velvet rope."

Paris recalled leaving the line thinking, "I guess you need to be with someone famous."

The new mom said she "learned the key elements of partying like a rock star" during her teen years -- before sharing some tips and tricks on how to "stay pretty" during a night out.

"Tipsy can be cute, but drunk is gross," she stated. "Good, sturdy platform boots — and comfortable clothes so you can dance all night and easily climb in and/or out of windows and over fences as needed."

Last month, during an episode of her "This Is Paris" podcast, Hilton shared an excerpt from her memoir that explained the meaning behind her son's name, "Phoenix." Read about her inspiration behind the unique moniker here.

"Paris: The Memoir" will be available on March 14.

Hayden Panettiere Reveals Breast Reduction Results In Women's Health

{content:

"My confidence is back," says the star ahead of her big return to the spotlight with Scream 6.

Hayden Panettiere is feeling herself again following a rough few years for the former "Heroes" star -- who has been very open about her battles with alcoholism, opiate abuse and postpartum depression.

As she returns to the spotlight with a new starring role in "Scream VI," in which she reprises her "Scream 4" role as fan favorite Kirby Reed, the "Nashville" actress covers the new issue of Women's Health.

Appearing on the cover in a Cynthia Rowley turtleneck and black Moeva bikini bottoms, Panettiere hits the beach, while also opening up about a recent procedure which has a positive impact on her self-esteem.

The 33-year-old actress told the publication she decided to get a breast reduction in November 2022. The mag's photoshoot and accompanying interview went down just two months later, in January 2023.

"My body still didn't feel like it belonged to me," she said of why she decided to go under the knife. "I don't think there's anything wrong with somebody who wants to tweak something if it makes them feel more confident."

"That's all I have to say about it. My confidence is back," she added.

It wasn't that long ago Panettiere hit her rock bottom in 2018, following the cancelation of "Nashville." Her drinking got so bad she actually developed jaundice

"My body was like, 'enough,'" she said. "I hit 30. My face was swollen. I had jaundice. My eyes were yellow. I had to go to a liver specialist. I was holding on to weight that wasn't normally there. My hair was thin and coming out in clumps."

Though she had tried rehab before, she went back again in 2021 and this time it stuck.

"I did a lot of work on myself," she said. "After eight months of intensive therapy, I felt like I had this blank canvas to work with."

She told the magazine she now works out with trainer Eddie Pavese -- who she met while in treatment -- and has a Peloton in her bedroom. Panettiere added, however, that she isn't strict about her workouts, to keep them from feeling like a chore.

Rihanna Jokes Baby Boy Is Crying Over Not Going to Oscars with Her

{content:

The pregnant star playfully posted a photo of her son with tears in his eyes, writing "my son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him"

Rihanna's baby boy says no to sitters for Hollywood's biggest night!

In an adorable carousel of images and photos posted to her Instagram on Sunday, the 35-year-old Fenty Beauty founder joked her son was upset after learning his unborn sibling would be attending the 95th Academy Awards without him.

Rihanna is currently pregnant with her second baby with A$AP Rocky and is nominated for Best Original Song for "Lift Me Up" which she is scheduled to perform during the ceremony.

"My son when he found out his sibling is going to the Oscars and not him," she hilariously wrote in her caption. "Swipe for tb of my fat man."

The post also included a video of the 9-month-old reacting to the song's music video. The song was the lead single in the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack and served as a tribute to Chadwick Boseman who passed away after losing a battle with colon cancer in August 2020.

Celebrity friends flocked to the comments to gush over the baby boy and his cute tantrum.

"MR. MAYERS ❤️" A$AP, who's real name is Rakim Mayers, commented on his partner's post.

Cara Delevingne raved, "That face 😍😍😍."

"Cutie PIE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️" Viola Davis praised, while Gigi Hadid said, "Can't wait mommmyyyyy."

Rihanna's second child has already made appearances in more ways than one!

During her highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance, the artist debuted her baby bump and her rep soon after confirmed she was pregnant with her second child with A$AP. The couple welcomed their first baby in May 2022.

Shortly after her return to the stage, the family of three actually made their magazine debut in British Vogue as a family of four. In a post to Instagram, Rihanna revealed she was unknowingly pregnant at the time of the shoot.

"my son so fine! Idc idc idc!" she captioned the post. "How crazy both of my babies were in these photos and mommy had no clue ❤️❤️ thank you so much [British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enniful] and [photographers Inez & Vinoodh] for celebrating us as a family!"

Hayden Panettiere Pays Emotional Tribute to Brother Jansen In First TV Interview Since His Death

{content:

In addition to appearing on GMA, the Scream 6 star also opened up about her battle with opiate addiction, alcoholism and postpartum depression with Women's Health.

Hayden Panettiere is back in the spotlight thanks to her starring role in "Scream VI" and, on Monday, made her first TV appearance since the death of her younger brother Jansen.

The former "Heroes" star was a guest on "Good Morning America" today, where host Michael Strahan took a moment during their interview to address her brother, who died at the age of 28 last month due to -- according to family -- an enlarged heart "coupled with aortic valve complications."

"We're sorry to hear about the passing of your brother Jansen, we send our love and condolences to you and your family," said Strahan, as Panettiere appeared to tear up, before looking to her shoulder and saying, "He's right here with me."

Speaking with Strahan, she also opened up about taking a break from acting to focus on herself amid battles with opioid abuse, alcoholism and postpartum depression -- and why she felt it was time to return with the sixth "Scream" movie

"I didn't know what I wanted to do next. I did have to take those four years off, and thank god I did," she said. "I had to take care of myself, my physical health, my mental health, spiritual health and then when it popped up and it came back around, I was like, 'I want to be part of that again.'"

She added that she approached the filmmakers about her return as Kirby Reed -- who seemingly died in "Scream 4" -- joking that she "willed her back to existence"

Hayden Panettiere Reveals Breast Reduction Results In Women's Health

In addition to the GMA appearance, Hayden also opened up about her journey in a cover story with Women's Health.

In it, she explained that her drinking really started to get out of control due to stress after she moved to Nashville for the show of the same name.

"Some people work out. I wish that was my coping mechanism," she said. "Alcohol might make you feel better in that moment, but it makes you feel so much worse the next day, and then you do it all over again."

After giving birth to daughter Kaya with ex Wladimir Klitschko in 2014, she also began to experience postpartum depression -- which she described as feeling "extreme hopelessness." She also began taking opioids to deal with a neck injury at the same time, telling the mag her "tolerance got so high so fast that it became a problem."

She tried rehab, but relapsed, before eventually Hayden said her body "was like, 'enough.'"

"I hit 30. My face was swollen. I had jaundice. My eyes were yellow. I had to go to a liver specialist. I was holding on to weight that wasn't normally there. My hair was thin and coming out in clumps," said Panettiere, who then entered treatment again in 2021, as well as trauma therapy and a 12-step program.

"A big part of my therapy has been living in forgiveness," said Panettiere. "A step in the 12-step program is making amends. If somebody wants to be a good person and to be the best version of themselves, they can choose to do that."

Read the full interview with Panettiere here. "Scream VI" hits theaters Friday.

Selena Gomez 'Heart Has Been Heavy' Amid Hailey Bieber Drama, TikTok Return

{content:

The Only Murders in The Building star pleaded with fans to be "kinder" amid an online war waged between fans of Hailey/Kylie and Selena

Selena Gomez has returned to TikTok after taking a hiatus from the social media platform amid drama between her and Justin Bieber's wife Hailey Bieber.

The multi-hyphenate artist made her comeback with a makeup tutorial video and dropped into the comment section to leave some gratitude and even a little advice to her massive fan base.

"Thank you and love you all so much," Selena wrote. "I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy."

However, she seemed very aware of the toll the fan frenzy surrounding the apparent feud might have on everyone involved.

"Please, please be kinder and consider others mental health," Selena added. "My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love."

Last month, Selena announced she was taking time away from social media.

"I'm going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly," she explained on February 23. "I'm 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much and I'll see you guys sooner than later, I'm just gonna take a break from everything."

Earlier that same day fans brought attention to a comment from Selena on a TikTok video of Hailey pretending to gag over Method Man mentioning Taylor Swift in a resurfaced clip from "Drop the Mic".

The video accused Hailey of being a "mean girl," and featured Method Man describing a rap battle as having "some of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift's last album." Bieber then sticks a finger in her mouth and pretends to gag in response to Swift's reference before shrugging and laughing along with the audience.

"So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game," Selena clapped back in response, according to multiple media outlets.

The Rare Beauty founder's comment came shortly after Bieber and Kylie Jenner were called out for allegedly making fun of the "Good For You" singer on Instagram.

The drama ensued after Selena took to TikTok to name Bella Hadid her new #girlcrush and gushed over the 26-year-old supermodel's beauty. The "Lose You to Love Me" artist jokingly took a jab at herself and commented on how she accidentally "over-laminated" her eyebrows in comparison to Hadid.

After her post, Jenner shared a video of herself highlighting her lush-looking eyebrows with the caption, "this was an accident ?????"

In another slide, Kylie shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call she had with Hailey, zooming in on both of their brows -- which made fans believe the Kylie Cosmetics guru was throwing shade at Gomez.

"The Kardashians" star eventually addressed accusations by commenting on a TikTok explaining the drama. Jenner wrote, "this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn't see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly."

Scheana Shay and Lala Kent Hit Back at Hypocrite Label Amid Tom Sandoval-Raquel Leviss Scandal

Selena then responded to Kylie's comment directly, sharing the same sentiments, "Agreed @kyliejenner," she said. "It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie!"

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the "Only Murder in the Building" star recently revealed she handed off her social media accounts to her assistant after going through a rough breakup and she was "inundated" with mean comments.

She continued, "People can call me ugly or stupid and I'm like, Whatever. But these people get detailed. They write paragraphs that are so specific and mean. I would constantly be crying. I constantly had anxiety…I couldn't do it anymore. It was a waste of my time."

The "Good For You" singer revealed the only social media app she has on her phone is TikTok as she finds it to be "a little less hostile."

"There are wonderful things about social media—connecting with fans, seeing how happy and excited they are and their stories," Gomez said.

Previously, Hailey and Selena dismissed any beef between the two when they posed together for a photo in October after years of fans on either side pitting them against one another over their relationships with Justin Bieber.

"My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for and then in the hospital for a little over a week," the relieved parent told Guthrie. "I'm so grateful she's home, she is back home. I was waiting for that day to come, and we are watching her closely."
