PSG Take Drastic Decision on Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos' Future

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly taken a turn on the contract talks involving Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos.

The Ligue 1 club decided to halt talks with both players following reports that they could be sanctioned by UEFA for breaking the financial fair play rules. PSG were one of 10 clubs fined for breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules for the 2020-21 season. They paid out a € 10 million fine while having a further €45 million suspended pending future accounts.

PSG are looking to balance its books after recording losses at the end of its financial year in recent seasons. Messi and Ramos are part of the players that earn a lot of salary at PSG with both players out of contracts at the end of this season, the club must reevaluate their books to see if a new contract is needed.

L'Équipe has confirmed that PSG want to keep Messi and Ramos at the club with informal discussions opened but the FFP pressures and threat of sanctions may mean new deals are not feasible.

American Idol 5th Judge: Daughter of Late Voice Contestant Nolan Neal Ready for Her Dream

Cay Aliese pays tribute to "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent" alum Nolan Neal, who died last year after a lifelong struggle with addiction, by performing an original song she'd written about him.

Legacy came to "American Idol" as the daughter of late "The Voice" and "America's Got Talent" contestant Nolan Neal was ready to start her own chapter.

In an episode that aired in the middle of the night after the Oscars, Cay honored the memory of her father, who passed away in October of last year after a lifelong struggle with addiction, by performing an original song she'd written about him and their life together.

Cay was, in fact, one of two artists facing a similar struggle as another broke down emotionally while trying to keep hope alive for her own mother's ongoing battle with addiction.

The night had a lighter side, too, with lots of nod the "Idol" itself. One contestant's mother, who's been a fan of the show since the beginning, joined the panel to judge her daughter singing a Katy Perry song -- in front of Katy Perry. Another took on Fantasia Barrino's winning single, so these kids were not here to play.

Add in a couple of singers who have no idea how good they are -- one only started taking it seriously two months ago and the other Katy declared the best country singer they've seen -- and a girl who got Kanye'd at her high school's graduation by another girl, and you've got some truly memorable moments!

Fair warning, since I'm safe at home, I'm probably going to be a little harsher than my colleagues Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. But I might be nicer, too. Maybe.

("Eye of the Tiger," Survivor - 23, Darlington, SC) We're not sure how this ended up an audition with Savanna and the panel wearing virtual reality gear, but it definitely added a surreal element to the performance. Unfortunately, it didn't improve the vocal quality at all. Savanna was a little shaky with her pitch and the tone of her voice all at the same time. None of it worked. Eventually, Savanna explained that her friend invented this VR "Metaverse Idol." It looked fun, but did not make us believers in Savanna's talent.

Rach Karma

("Holy Diver," Dio - 28, Kensington, CT) Look, we have a soft spot for rock because it seems to be a dying genre in music, which is heartbreaking. That said, though, it's more than just screaming and hollering. Ronnie James Dio had one of the most incredible voices in all of hard rock, so this wasn't doing it any justice. Rach didn't even manage to stay in tune. It was all style and no substance. It was performative, like she was doing a tribute to rock as a fan (or even a parody) rather than being someone who is trying to embody it from within.

Cay Aliese

("City of Nashville," Cay Aliese - 24, Dandridge, TN) Cay almost had a very different life as her dad apparently had a string of record deals offered to him, but kept blowing it as he struggled with addiction. She shared that two months ago, he lost that struggle. She used to perform and produce music with him, but ultimately seeing him pushed her away from it for a long time. Now that he's gone, she said she's felt the draw to find her way back to it as a way to honor and connect with him, while starting her own chapter.

Cay's dad was Nolan Neal, who reality fans will know from "America's Got Talent" and "The Voice." He died in October 2022 due to a fatal overdose involving Fentanyl. As part of her way to honor his memory, Cay performed a song she'd written about him. The song itself was sweet and we got a hint of who she could be, but it felt like we were just starting to pay attention when she stopped. We didn't hear anything that grabbed us in her tone or presentation. The panel also felt emotionally disconnected from her performance, but they were willing to roll the dice.

Reette Thorns

("I Believe," Fantasia - 20, Madison, WI) Reette shared the story of her mother's ongoing struggles with addiction and how it impacted her life. You could hear the pain she's endured in her voice, but at the same time it was a voice very unseasoned and untrained. She was able to reach just about all of the notes Fantasia wailed so beautifully on this track, but it was otherwise a fairly bland performance. There is no character in her voice, and she's not learned at all who she might want to be as a singer -- or probably even a person. She admitted to feeling overwhelmed and anxious to her sister before her moment, and afterward, it all came crashing out of her in tears.

This is an interesting case because Reette is someone who has a voice, but no identity. Can one be formed within her, or more importantly pulled out of her on this journey? We'd be skeptical, to be honest, though we know how hard she would fight for it. The panel felt more of it in the room (and maybe that was more palpable live). Luke gave her an intentional no to remind her that she's really going to have to work hard to be able to rise up to this occasion, which is absolutely true.

Amara Valerio

("Bust Your Windows," Jazmine Sullivan - 20, Yonkers, NY) Talk about going viral for all the wrong reasons, and we don't mean Amara. She just put a girl on blast on national television for pulling a Kanye on her. While Amara was just starting to sing the national anthem at her school, another girl came up and snatched the mic from her and said that since it was her graduating class, she should get to sing it. The next year was Covid, so she never got a do-over of that embarrassingly awkward moment. Boy do we love that she chose such an angry song to process this.

The panel was throwing names out during her audition -- and then she spilled that it was a Sarah (oops!) -- but we were all in on the performance. Amara could have dug even deeper into the whole performance, as there was only one section where we really believed the anger coming from her. Otherwise, we heard nerves and angst trying to do her best. She has a lovely tone and it was very pretty. We just wanted it to be a little more ugly, too.

Tripp Taylor

("I Believe to My Soul," Ray Charles - 18, Florence, SC) There's an interesting scratch in Tripp's voice that isn't always there. He sometimes sings out of the side of his mouth, but all of these elements come and go, giving him different ways to attack a song. This was such an intriguing performance, we found ourselves hanging on every note to see how he might play with it. He could handle this old-school track with an unexpected authenticity, and Ray Charles is not easy for anyone to sing. It's clear this type of music is his passion; we'd love to see how diverse he can get because he has such an interesting approach to his artistry.

("Make You Feel My Love," Bob Dylan - 23, Houston, TX) Hannah said she's only been working on music for about two months, but we suspect that only means she pivoted to taking it more seriously two months ago. This former collegiate volleyball player has a beautifully rich depth in her voice that was wholly unique. There's a haunting, almost whispery quality to her full-throated sound, and we only got the subtlest glimpses of what kind of range or power she might possess. There's a good chance she has no idea herself. When you're talking about finding diamonds in the rough on a show like this, Hannah is definitely that. With some proper training and coaching to pull even more out of her, she could really shine bright.

Colt Glover

("Rock Salt and Nails," Flatt & Scruggs - 21, Magnolia, TX) A complete novice to this whole thing, which you could tell by how he delivered this, Colton's talent is absolutely magical. This was so incredibly understated, it's clear this boy has no idea how good his voice is. It's not just the beautifully authentic gravel in his belting voice, but the sweetness of his gentler tone, too. We could hear nerves throughout, but underneath those was the stuff. We can just imagine how incredible he could be if he could shake those nerves and tap into that authenticity from a place of belief that this is what he's supposed to be doing.

Dany Epp

("The One That Got Away," Katy Perry - 23, Suffern, NY) In a way, this was the culmination of a lifelong bonding experience for Dany and her mom. Dany shared that her mom has been watching the show since Kelly Clarkson won it all, and has been acting as her unofficial judge for just about as long. She's also urged her daughter to take this chance. The audition also marks the first time they've seen one another since Dany moved to Oklahoma to live with her girlfriend, so emotions were definitely running high.

Just for fun, the panel added her as the "fourth judge," (still leaving room for us in that "fifth" slot, thank you very much!). Already stressful singing Katy's song in front of Katy, adding mom had to make it even harder. But Dany stepped up in a big way with a very subtle strength in her voice. It was so timid at first that it was able to deliver even more pain than Katy's record. There was so much emotion in this performance, with just a hint of grit in her voice that only punctuated that heartache. It was a beautifully understated performance.

Jimmy Kimmel Takes Aim at Absent Tom Cruise, James Cameron and 'The Slap' in Oscars Monologue

With a very insider Oscars monologue, Jimmy Kimmel addresses "the slap," Steven Spielberg, Brendan Fraser, Ke Huy Quan, Nicole Kidman and more -- but very gently.

After a fun montage not only of scenes from this year's nominated films but lots of behind-the-scenes footage of the making of this year's nominated films, the 95th Oscars dropped Jimmy Kimmel onto the stage ... literally.

The late-night host joined "Top Gun: Maverick" for a few scenes opposite big-screen Tom Cruise in fighter jets before parachuting into the show to kick things off with a mostly mild monologue. After one joke last year triggered one nominee, it was perhaps better safe than sorry.

Yes, Kimmel did address "the slap," but impressively showed far more restraint than we expected, holding off on the dominant moment from last year's show until the final moments of his monologue. Before that, he was positively tame!

His first joke was as gentle as they come, quipping that it was nice to see Nicole Kidman "has finally been released from that abandoned AMC where she's been held captive for two full years now." He then told her, "Thank you for encouraging people who were already at the movie theater to go to the movie theater."

He pointed out all the night's first-time nominees, taking particular pleasure in the fact that both Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan are nominated on the same night. Not only are they front-runners for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, but they were co-stars in 1992.

"Two actors from 'Encino Man' are nominated for Oscars," Kimmel said, referencing their goofy comedy. "What an incredible night this must be for the two of you, and what a very difficult night for Pauly Shore."

He took some time to crack a lot of jokes about Steven Spielberg and John Williams, both achieving Oscars history with their nominations. Spielberg is the first director nominated across six decades, while Williams is the oldest-ever nominee at 91.

He got a few chuckles from Spielberg and then threw in some drug humor because Seth Rogen was nearby, but it was all pretty tame. That is, until he talked about Spielberg directing the actors portraying his parents in intimate scenes. Let's just say, everyone had a little bit of a cringe.

The comedian did pull out the barbs a little bit when talking about James Cameron and Tom Cruise. He made it a point to publicly mention rumors Cameron opted out because he wasn't nominated for the latest "Avatar" film, asking, "How does the Academy not nominate the guy who directed 'Avatar'? What is he, a woman?"

He poked fun at Scientology a bit, saying Cruise without his shirt on in "Top Gun" is "L. Ron Hubba-Hubba," before commenting on both men being absent. "The two guys who insisted we go to the theater didn't come to the theater," he said.

When commenting on Rihanna's upcoming performance, Kimmel shared that her baby pooped during rehearsals just so he could ask if the audience knew the last time someone pooped backstage. He then went "Inside Baseball," as it were, by saying, "That accountant who mixed up the envelopes."

Yes, it's one of Oscars' most famous moments, but it was also six years ago and he offered no further context. For the record, "La La Land" was announced as the winner, when in truth it was "Moonlight." It is a moment of Oscars chaos that will go down in history -- kind of like last year's big moment.

Kimmel hinted at "the slap" between Will Smith and Chris Rock earlier in the monologue when talking about the five different Irish acting nominees, joking that "the odds of another fight happening on stage went way up."

Then, like Rock waited until the end of his latest stand-up special to go all in on the infamous incident, Kimmel took a deep dive on the subject by focusing on safety. Oscars implemented a crisis team this year, just in case anything like that were to happen again.

He went on to call out basically everyone, noting, "If anything unpredictable or violent takes place, just do what you did last year. Nothing. Sit there and do absolutely nothing." After a beat he added, "Maybe even give the assailant a hug."

He then warned the attendants that if anyone decides they are mad and want to rush the stage to "Get Jiggy Wit It," they'll have to get through a whole slew of people, like Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed, Michelle Yeoh's herself, "The Mandalorian" and even two Guillermo's (Del Toro and Kimmel's late-night sidekick).

Disney Drops The Little Mermaid Live Action Full Trailer at Oscars

The full trailer for Disney's live action "The Little Mermaid" gave fans a first look into Melissa McCarty's Ursula and Javier Bardem's King Triton.

After months of anticipation, the first full-length trailer of Disney's live-action "The Little Mermaid" movie starring Halle Bailey as Ariel is finally here.

During the 2023 Oscars on Sunday night, Bailey -- who was dressed in a pale blue princess-like Dolce & Gabbana gown, and Melissa McCarthy stunning in a red floor length Christian Siriano Gown -- hit the stage to present the trailer and it did not disappoint.

In the film Jonah Hauer-King portrays Prince Eric, McCarthy is Ursula, Javier Bardem is King Triton, Daveed Diggs is the voice of Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay is the voice of Flounder, Awkwafina is the voice of Scuttle.

The film, of course, is a live-action remake of the 1989 animated Disney classic. The upcoming film comes from director Rob Marshall and features four brand-new songs from Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Per Disney, "The Little Mermaid's" synopsis reads: "The youngest of King Triton's daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land, but ultimately places her life -- and her father's crown -- in jeopardy."

The movie hits theaters May 26, 2023.

Oscars 2023: Jamie Lee Curtis Wins First Oscar Ever for Best Supporting Actress

"I just won an Oscar," she exclaimed, after beating out Angela Bassett, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon and her own costar Stephanie Hsu.

During the 2023 Academy Awards on Sunday, Jamie Lee Curtis took home the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in "Everything Everywhere All At Once."

Curtis won the award over fellow female nominees Angela Bassett ("Black Panther: Wakanda Forever"), Hong Chau ("The Whale"), Kerry Condon ("The Banshees of Inisherin") and her own costar Stephanie Hsu ("Everything Everywhere All at Once").

Taking the stage and exclaiming, "I am hundreds of people," Curtis first thanked directing duo the Daniels, her costars and everyone who worked on the film -- as well as her longtime management team and family.

"To all of the people who have supported the genre movies I have made for all these years, the thousands and hundreds of thousands of people, we just won an Oscar together!" she shouted, alluding to her early career in horror and "Halloween" legacy.

She concluded her speech in tears, referencing her parents Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh saying, "And my mother and father were both nominated in Oscars in different categories ... I just won an Oscar."

This marks Curtis' first Oscars win and nomination. She's received several accolades this awards season for her critically-acclaimed performance in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." In addition to the Oscar, Curtis previously won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.

She also received nominations at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and BAFTA Awards.

The family of South African rapper Costa Titch has released an official statement about his passing at the age of 27.

The family of the popular South African rapper Costa Titch who had reportedly slumped and died during a performance at the Ultra Festival on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The family of the young rapper and dancer who passed away untimely released an official statement that confirmed his death and requested that the family be given time to mourn the deceased.

The statement read:

We are devastated by the sudden loss of the beloved South African artist Costa Titch, who tragically passed away this weekend.

Costa was a galvanizing voice among South Africa's amapiano scene - a talented rapper, dancer, songwriter, collaborator, and friend to the festival. Our deepest thoughts and most sincere sympathies are with his family, friends, and our entire community, who are together mourning this heartbreaking loss."

Celebrities have taken to social media to react to a controversial statement made by Kiddwaya about the death of South African rapper Costa Titch.

Celebrities DJ Neptune, Do2DTun and popular VJ Ehiz took to social media to react to a controversial statement made by the former BBNaija housemate Kiddwaya about the sudden and shocking death of South African rapper Costa Titch at the age of 28.

Kiddwaya, in a video, had advised people to check on celebrities as they attempt to cope with the pressure of the lifestyle with alcohol and drugs. The video Kiddwaya had uploaded on his social media status was accompanied by a caption that read:

COSTA!!! what happened was extremely sad and avoidable!!! THIS IS A MESSAGE TO EVERYBODY BEHIND THE SCENES. SHARE/REPOST THIS SO EVERYBODY WHO NEEDS TO HEAR WILL HEAR.

This controversial video attracted responses from celebrities DJ Neptune, Do2DTun and also Ehiz.

Sammi Sweetheart Giancola Announces Return to Jersey Shore After 10 Year Absence

After previously insisting she would not be part of MTV's "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" reboot, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola is returning to the juggernaut franchise after a decade away.

With two not-so-subtle hints, MTV's "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola have confirmed that she's back, baby!

While Sammi was part of the original incarnation of "Jersey Shore" on MTV from 2009 to 2012, she opted out of appearing in the sequel series which launched in 2018. At the time, she took to Instagram to say she was enjoying her life free of the cameras and wanted "to avoid potentially toxic situations."

Now, though, it looks like all of that is changing. The show's official Instagram account made their own version of the announcement with a shot of Sammi on camera in front of a green screen, captioning it, "She's still the sweetest b---- you'll ever meet."

If that wasn't clear enough, they added a camera emoji to suggest she's filming, and then tagged her and dropped the hashtag for the show itself. Then, both the show and Sammi herself shared some video of her smiling into the camera before Sammi made the official announcement Sunday morning.

"Okay I can finally say...I'm backkk! ☺️ @jerseyshore #jsfamilyvacation," she captioned a picture of herself in front of the green screen. Costar Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino was on brand with his comment: "We have a Situation."

Most of the rest of the cast shared variations of these same images and videos to their various Instagram pages to help spread the news that the new season of "Family Vacation" will be just a little bit sweeter, with Jenni "JWOWW" Farley even sharing some throwback snaps of the OG cast to her Stories.

Sammi was the only member of the original cast who'd yet to be part of the new series, though the cast never gave up hope on convincing her to join the party.

In September 2022, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi told E! News, "We tried to get her back like two years ago, all of us texting her saying, 'Come for one dinner. Why not? And she's just always like, 'No, I'll never do that show again.' We didn't want to push it."

Now, less than a year later, Sammi is ready for a "Vacation." One major change that could have influenced her decision is the fact that for the first time, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is not part of the cast. He and Sammi have a rocky relationship past. Ronnie stepped away to seek treatment for mental health issues.

Though it's unclear when Sammi might first appear on camera -- or if at all this season -- new episodes of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" are currently airing every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.

2. Ed O'Neill & Britney Spears

Ed O'Neill was waiting to catch a flight when he ended up getting approached by Britney Spears -- and didn't recognize her. Right as Ed was about to board, Britney came up and told him she was a big fan of "Modern Family." They snapped a photo together, and Ed didn't find out it was Britney until after she shared it on social media!

"She came up and said, 'Oh, Mr. O'Neill, I love 'Modern Family,' and you're my favorite on the show,'" he said before explaining that Britney also politely asked for a photo. "So I said, 'Sure, fine, you know, okay.' So she sat there, and we took it, and I said, 'Have a nice trip. I'm going.' And I left. So the next day, my manager texts me and goes, 'What is this? 53,000 likes. It's Britney Spears,'" Ed shared on "The Ellen Show."

3. Amy Schumer & Goldie Hawn

Before Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn starred in "Snatched" together, they bumped into each other, and Goldie didn't know who Amy was. Amy explained that she saw Goldie on a flight and wanted to pitch the movie to her but unfortunately, Goldie didn't recognize her at the moment.

"We'd never met. I waited till we got off the plane, and then I went up, and I harassed her. And I was just like, 'I really want you to play my mom in this movie. And she was just like, 'Okay, honey,'' Amy said on the "Today" show.

Goldie later said she thought Amy was "sweet" but felt "bad" that she didn't recognize her.

4. Christopher Nolan & Harry Styles

Ashton Kutcher isn't the only one who doesn't know Harry Styles! Before he cast Harry in his film "Dunkirk," Christopher didn't know how famous Harry was when he came in for the audition.

"I mean, my daughter had talked about him. My kids talked about him, but I wasn't really that aware of it. So the truth is, I cast Harry because he fit the part wonderfully and truly earned a seat at the table," Christopher shared.

Bella Hadid may be an international supermodel, but Rami Malek totally didn't recognize her during a night out in Paris. He explained that since he's not on social media, he doesn't always know who people are when he sees them in real life.

"I'm not on social media. I'm not as in touch with things as I should be. I was dancing in Paris the other night with Bella Hadid and didn't know who she was," Rami told People.

6. Martha Stewart & Chip & Joanna Gaines

Chip and Joanna Gaines were excited to meet Martha Stewart, but the television personality didn't recognize the couple in person. The HGTV power couple didn't mind, though, and say they were just glad to meet Martha.

"She didn't have the faintest idea who we are, not a single clue. But we don't mind at all, Joanna was so excited to meet Martha. Martha was very gracious and supportive, it was really wonderful moment for us to meet her," Chip told the New York Post.

Martha later responded, explaining that she knew of the couple but just didn't recognize them when they met.

7. Donna Karan & Halsey

When Halsey headlined the DKNY 30th anniversary party, founder and designer Donna Karan didn't actually know what the singer looked like. During the event, Donna talked to a media outlet and admitted that she couldn't pick out the singer in the crowd.

"Who is Halsey? Is that Halsey? I think my granddaughter does [know who she is]. I'm sure she's great," she said to Page Six.

8. Mama June Shannon & Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus happens to be a fan of Mama June from TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," but when they met, she did'n't happen to recognize the singer. At the time, they were both appearing on "Good Morning America," and Miley came over to quickly say hi.

"This may sound bad on my part, but because it was so crazy at 'Good Morning America,' [Miley's] like, 'Oh my god, there's Mama June!' and she came up and hugged me. Because it was so fast, I didn't realize it was her until after she walked by!'" June admitted on "The Wendy Williams Show."

Adele was on her way to superstardom when she met Phil Collins. Despite making a name for herself in the music industry, Phil didn't recognize her when she invited him to collaborate on a song. When he found out, he immediately tried to get a writing session scheduled.

The Italian was speaking in a post-match interview after the game against Espanyol in a league match on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 at the Santiago Bernabeu. He advised his players not to be overconfident going into the second leg against Liverpool.

The first leg at Anfield last month (February 2023). Early goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah had appeared to put the hosts in control, but Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema both scored a brace and Eder Militao was also on the scoresheet. Real Madrid won the game 5-2.

Ancelotti mentioned last season's tie against the Blues, when they secured a 3-1 first-leg victory at Stamford Bridge before almost crashing out. Chelsea raced into a stunning three-goal lead in the Spanish capital to put them ahead of the tie, before a Madrid fightback saw them eventually advance after extra-time, the game ended 5-4 in favour of the Galacticos.

We had the experience of last year against Chelsea. We had a three-goal advantage, which is why we are and were favorites, but the other fact is that we have to play another 90 minutes.

Liverpool fans will hope that their team can avenge the defeat of last season's final by booking a spot in the Quater-finals.
