Blac Chyna Reveals She Got Breast and Butt Reduction

{content:

The former reality star called her breast reduction surgery "one of the best decisions" she's ever made, while also sharing that her butt surgery took nearly nine hours after the silicone in her buttocks kept "clogging the machine."

Blac Chyna is opening up about her "life-changing journey."

On Monday, the former reality star revealed on Instagram that she recently underwent surgery to reduce her breasts and butt. Chyna posted a series of videos, in which she documented the process behind the procedures.

Kyle Richards Doubles Down Ozempic Denial: I've 'Never Touched It'

In the first clip, which featured her in the doctor's office, Chyna said, "As y'all know, I've been changing my life and changing my ways so one of the things I think is going to take me to the next level is obviously taking some of these ass shots out."

She then noted that silicone butt injections are "totally different" from a BBL (Brazilian butt lift), sharing that she got the former. However, Chyna admitted that she wished she didn't get the shots, and warned other women against getting butt injections as well.

"I just want all the ladies out there to know, do not get silicone shots because you can get sick, you can die, have complications and all this other crazy stuff," she explained, sharing that she got the injections when she was 19. "But now I'm moving here in life, and I want this out of my ass I can grow."

The 34-year-old went on to share footage of herself in the car on the way to her surgery, noting that the day was March 9.

"I'm about to go get my buttocks reduced and also to my breasts because honestly I feel like I'm past that stage -- been there done that -- this is actually my fifth time -- hopefully my last time -- getting my breasts done," Chyna said.

She also showed her bare nails to the camera, revealing that she had removed her super-long acrylics, and plans to keep them that way. "I'm going to retire the long sharp nails," she said, adding that she's "stepping into a different way."

In another video taken a few days post-op, the "Rob & Chyna" alum opened up about her surgery.

"I must say I'm very, very, very, happy right now," she told the camera while showing off her bandages as she filmed herself laying down in bed. "As you can see, [I] got my breasts reduced, one of the best decisions I could have done in a very long time."

"Also, I got the reduction in my butt," she continued. "So normally my procedure would've [taken] like maybe four hours right, four hours tops. My procedure took over eight-and-a-half-ours y'all."

Chyna then revealed what was behind the complication. "Whatever that silicone mass, whatever that was that was in my buttocks, it kept clogging the machine and breaking [it]," she said.

In the post's caption, Chyna wrote, "I want you all to be apart of my life changing journey. 🙏🏽❤️ I Reduced my breast and Gluteus Maximus." She then quoted herself, writing, "'You all have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that.' ~ Angela White."

The Last of Us Creators Confirm Second Game Will Be Split Into Multiple Seasons

{content:

While there may only be two games, HBO's adaptation of The Last of Us will run at least three seasons.

Warning: Spoilers for the Season 1 finale below.

Fans rejoice -- "The Last of Us" has a couple more seasons left in it at HBO.

The show's first season, which wrapped up on Sunday night, covered the entire first video game -- which also ended with Joel's controversial decision to murder all the Fireflies who planned to kill Ellie to find a Cordyceps cure.

The 2013 video game was followed up by "The Last of Us Part II" in 2020, a sequel which the show-runners will also adapt going forward. But while the first game was covered in just one season, the second will be told over multiple seasons.

When asked by Variety whether all of "Part II" will be told in Season 2, creator Craig Mazin said, "No. No way" -- before co-creator Niel Druckmann added, "It's more than one season." The pair, however, wouldn't confirm just how many seasons they'll split it into.

While the first game was fairly linear -- aside from the "Left Behind" DLC that came out in 2014, which inspired the Riley flashback episode in Season 1 -- the second includes multiple flashbacks, major set pieces and POV shifts that could prove trickier to adapt, especially in just nine episodes.

Earlier this year, Druckmann told The Hollywood Reporter that they do not plan "to tell any stories beyond adapting the games."

"We won't run into the same issue as Game of Thrones since Part II doesn't end on a cliffhanger," he promised. Mazin also added, "I don't have any interest in a spinning-plates-go-on-forever show. When it becomes a perpetual motion machine, it just can't help but get kind of ... stupid. Endings mean everything to me."

Druckmann, however, did tease there could very well be a third game at some point ... which could, in theory, also lead to more seasons of the show. "I think there's more story to tell," he said at the time.

The full first season of "The Last of Us" is streaming now on HBO Max.

Nicky Hilton Taught Paris Hilton How to Change a Diaper After Welcoming Baby Phoenix

{content:

The fashion designer and mom of three gushed about how "obsessed" she was with her new nephew.

Nicky Hilton had a few tips and tricks for her older sister Paris Hilton after the latter welcomed her first child via surrogate back in January.

The elder Hilton star had nothing but praises for how the "Stars are Blind" singer has been navigating motherhood.

"Paris was made to be a mom!" Nicky gushed in an interview with Page Six during the 2023 Women in Film pre-Oscars party. "I taught her how to change a diaper."

Nicky shares three children -- Lily-Grace, 6, Teddy, 5 and her 8-month-old son -- with her husband James Rothschild, and when it comes to her nephew Phoenix, the heiress claimed she was "obsessed with him."

In fact, Hilton shared she had "just left him" before she joined the Oscars festivities.

Last month, Paris opened up about the lengths she and her husband Carter Reum took to keep news of their baby under wraps. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 42-year-old heiress shared how she and Reum decided to quietly welcome their first child.

"My entire life has been so public," Hilton explained. "I've never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves."

On January 24, the couple announced the arrival of their newborn son in a photo posted to Instagram. The picture featured Hilton's hand wrapped around the tiny infant's.

In addition to checking in with a fake name, the "Cooking with Paris" star recalled entering the hospital in a brunette wig and a hoodie to disguise herself on the day her surrogate gave birth. Hilton and Reum kept the arrival to themselves and refrained from even telling their immediate families.

The new family of three spent two days enjoying their time alone before sharing the news with the world.

"I want to protect him and to be with him every second," Paris admitted. "You have this mother instinct that kicks in, which I've never had before. I feel so complete now."

Hilton also gave fans a further glimpse into what she's loving about motherhood. She shared that she often sings her son a few lullabies that include "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" ... and an acoustic version of "Stars Are Blind," of course.

Kyle Richards Doubles Down Ozempic Denial: I've 'Never Touched It'

{content:

The "RHOBH" star says she's "offended" and "angry" by the accusations that she's taken the weight loss drug.

Kyle Richards is addressing speculation that she's used Ozempic to lose weight .... again.

In an interview with People at Elton John's 31st Annual Oscars Viewing Party in Los Angeles on Sunday, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star doubled down on her denial that she used the antidiabetic and anti-obesity drug for its weight loss benefits, claiming she's "never touched" Ozempic.

"I didn't even know about Ozempic until I'd already lost the weight I wanted to lose," Richards told People. "I started losing weight eight months ago, actually, because I stopped drinking alcohol eight months ago. At first I was like, 'Why are they saying I'm taking this diet drug?' Then they thought, 'Well, maybe it's another kind,' because I was saying, 'It's not Ozempic.'"

The reality star said she's "offended" and "angry" by the accusations that she's taken the prescription drug as she claimed she achieved her weight loss by exercising and eating healthy.

"It wasn't any diet drug ever, never touched it," Kyle said. "So it really just frustrated me because I'm working out really hard."

"I became offended because it actually is irresponsible and I'm hearing about diabetics who can't even get ahold of it now," she continued. "So then it became, 'Okay, now I'm mad. Now I'm actually really angry,' because I wouldn't do that. I'm very honest about anything I do and I would've not had a problem sharing that if that was true."

Kyle added, "I'm working so hard and I wanted to be a positive role model or an inspiration to people that have had kids and are my age and show that you can get in shape. So it just felt like they wanted to take that from you and I'm like, 'That's just cheating.'"

Many fans first accused the 54-year-old of using Ozempic or getting plastic surgery back in January after she showed off her new slim figure in a bikini selfie on Instagram.

Kyle was quick to clear up rumors on IG, clapping back, "I have never tried ozempic and this is not from plastic surgery. I did have a breast reduction in May. I'm honest about what I do. But if giving plastic surgery the credit makes you feel better then pop off sister."

Then last month, the Bravo star again claimed that she hasn't used Ozempic, sharing in an interview with "Extra" that she "cannot stand people saying" the drug is responsible for her new gains.

"People that know me know that I'm up every day at like 5:30 a.m., 6 a.m. at the latest … I'm in the gym for two hours," she explained. "I really put a lot of effort into my diet and exercise and taking care of myself, so when people like to think I took the easy way out, it's frustrating."

The actress said that she's choosing to ignore negative speculation around her body though it may be tough. "Sometimes I turn my cheek the other way and ignore it, but I work really hard and it really bothers me, and I would like to be able to be an inspiration to people," she admitted. "So don't think I took the easy way out."

Meanwhile, Kyle later took to Instagram to open up about some of the lifestyle changes she's made in order to achieve her body transformation.

After she shared her morning workout routine on Instagram, Kyle also took time to answer a few questions about her new diet.

One fan asked about her break from alcohol and how abstinence from booze has affected her.

"Truth is I don't miss it at all," Kyle confessed. Though she doesn't have a "time frame" of when she'll reintroduce alcohol back into her lifestyle, the TV personality revealed she's now been seven months sober. "I feel amazing so don't see the point right now."

When another follower asked if she missed her favorite cocktail -- the margarita -- the "Halloween Ends" star said she hadn't had the temptation to drink. "So far, no ... " she said.

Kyle also spoke about her eating habits, writing, "NO alcohol, bread, pasta, sugar. "Now that I am the weight I want to be, I will have the occasional small amount of pasta etc once in a while. But no alcohol since July 15."

Priyanka Chopra Told She Wasn't Sample Size, 'Cried' to Nick Jonas

{content:

The actress also revealed she received pay parity for the first time in her 22-year career for her role in "Citadel."

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is opening up about the "difficult" comments she's heard throughout her career.

While kicking off the 2023 South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival on Friday with Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke, the 40-year-old "Citadel" actress shared she cried after she was told she was "not sample size."

"In my job, the pressure is so intense you can't really show the chinks in your armor," she said per People. "Someone told me yesterday that I wasn't sample-sized. … I was hurt and I discussed it with my family, and I cried to my husband, and my team, and I felt really bad about the fact that I'm not sample size. And that's a problem, apparently, and most of us are not, and sample size is size 2."

Chopra, who welcomed her 1-year-old daughter Malti with her husband Nick Jonas via surrogate, shared that the public often forgets celebrities are "human" and often pick apart not only her but also her family.

"I have had times when I may have said something, and it's been misconstrued, and you see people saying the meanest and nastiest things not just about me, about my child, about my family members, and I think sometimes people forget you are even human," she continued.

Priyanka added, "And those pressures — it's inexplicable. I can't explain how it feels when you are sitting down on your couch and you just feel the world coming at you because people have forgotten that you are human."

While the criticism will always be a hard pill to swallow, the "Quantico" alum revealed how she often leans on the support of her family members.

"I think what you have to do is surround yourself with people who love you, and surround yourself with people who care about you, and not about what you can bring to the table and not about what you can do for me," she said. "People who want to see you smile and be enriched. It doesn't have to be a room full of people — I can count them on my hands."

Elsewhere in the panel, Chopra also disclosed that her upcoming series "Citadel" was the first time in her acting career she received pay parity.

"When I did Citadel, it was the first time in my career that I had pay parity with my male costar — the first time in 22 years," she explained.

"Citadel" will premiere its first two episodes on Prime Video on April 28, the remaining episodes are scheduled to drop weekly through May 26.

Jimmy Kimmel Asking Malala About SpitGate At Oscars Has Twitter Talking

{content:

"Cocaine bear, leave Malala alone," Kimmel demanded in one of three Malala related bits on Oscar night

Malala Yousafzai may be a Nobel Peace Prize winner, executive producer of an Oscar nominated documentary short, and most notably survived an attempt on her life from the Taliban, but even she can't escape "Spitgate".

At the Academy Awards on Sunday evening, host Jimmy Kimmel asked the activist, "As the youngest Nobel Prize winner in history, I was wondering, do you think Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine?" to which she replied, "I only talk about peace".

Yousafzai took to Twitter to comment on the controversy, politely responding, "Treat people with kindness" to a tweet of the awkward scene.

Not only can she not escape Kimmel's jokes, she was then (playfully) accosted by Cocaine Bear, to which Kimmel chimed in the five words we'd never thought we'd hear together in a sentence: "Cocaine bear, leave Malala alone."

Yousafzai was attending the Oscars as executive producer of the short film "Stranger at the Gate". She appeared in a stunning silver Ralph Lauren gown that has also been the talk of social media.

Another one of the host's jokes, where he referred to the activist as "Malala Land" in reference to film "La La Land," had some viewers raising their collective eyebrows. That's strike three Kimmel!

{content:

Paul Pelosi recently recovered from brain surgery after the violent incident at the couple's San Francisco home.

Nancy Pelosi and Paul Pelosi joined Hollywood to celebrate its biggest night at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars After Party just over four months after their San Francisco home invasion.

The couple (both 82) made a glamorous appearance with the former House Speaker dressed in a gold sequined Giambattista Valli number with floral appliques and Paul fashioned in a classic black tuxedo.

Alongside the night's biggest winners including Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Fraser, the Pelosi's partied at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles.

On October 28 last year, Paul was allegedly attacked by a home intruder who was wielding a hammer in the couple's California home. Per CNN, Nancy was in Washington D.C. when the suspected assailant reportedly "confronted the speaker's husband" demanding, "Where is Nancy, where is Nancy?"

Paul's 911 call and the body cam footage of the incident has since been made public.

Suffering from a skull fracture, facial and hand injuries from his alleged attack, the businessman eventually underwent and successfully recovered from brain surgery. He was admitted into Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center for a week before he was discharged.

The suspected attacker was named as 42-year-old David DePape who has been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and assault.

A few weeks later, Nancy announced she would be stepping down from her historic run as the Democratic House leader. Though she no longer leads the Democratic party, Pelosi still serves as a member of the house.

Back in 2007, the politician was elected as the first woman to become the Speaker of the House. She was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 2013.

Oscars In Memoriam Omits Anne Heche, Charlbi Dean & More: Twitter Reacts

{content:

Many social media users took to Twitter to slam the Academy after a group of late actors were missing from the on-air tribute.

Not unlike previous Oscar ceremonies, several stars were left out of the 2023 Oscars In Memoriam segment on Sunday night. And just as in the past, fans expressed their anger and disappointment over the omissions on social media.

Many social media users took to Twitter to call out the Academy after late actors Anne Heche, Tom Sizemore, Charlbi Dean, Paul Sorvino, Leslie Jordan and more stars were missing from the on-air tribute, which included a performance by Lenny Kravitz.

Oscars 2023: The Most Viral Moments of the Night

Heche, Sizemore, Dean, Sorvino and Jordan in all appeared in several films during their careers, with Dean even starring in a 2023 Best Picture-nominated film, "Triangle of Sadness."

Among the other stars omitted from the segment were Gilbert Gottfried, Kevin Conroy and Sacheen Littlefeather.

However, it's worth noting that all of the actors above who weren't featured in the on-air segment -- except for Conroy -- were mentioned on the In Memoriam page on the Academy's website.

Despite this, many angry Twitter users slammed the Oscars for leaving out several beloved actors during the broadcast.

John Travolta Chokes Up Honoring Olivia Newton-John Ahead of Oscars In Memoriam

"Can anyone explain why this happens every year?," wrote actress Lydia Cornell. "Oscars In Memoriam Segment Missing Paul Sorvino, Anne Heche, Tom Sizemore, Leslie Jordan and Charlbi Dean From Oscar-Nominated 'Triangle Of Sadness."

Meanwhile, a tweet about Dean -- which has over 40,000 likes -- read: "she was the lead in a best picture this year and you dont add her to the in memoriam?!?! RIP charlbi dean." Dean passed away in August at the age of 32 from a bacterial infection.

"The Oscars should be ashamed not including the deeply talented, too often underrated Anne Heche in their In Memoriam montage," a person said of Heche, who died in August at 54 following a car crash.

Another Twitter user described Heche as "one of the most daring actors and a true trailblazer," writing that she starred in "over 30 feature films."

Oscars 2023: The Most Viral Moments of the Night

{content:

"Everything Everywhere All at Once" dominates, Hugh Grant gets grumpy, Rihanna stuns, Indiana Jones reunion, lots of Oscars firsts and all "the slap" jokes host Jimmy Kimmel could think of.

One movie was "Everything Everywhere All at Once," on Oscars night, dominating with seven total wins, including all of the top categories in which it was nominated.

In doing so, it handed first-ever Oscars to so many individuals, including Best Actress Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actress Jamie Lee Curtis and Best Supporting Actor Ke Huy Quan. Directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schienert also took home trophies for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, while the film nabbed Best Picture.

Oscars 2023: Complete Winners List

That last award brought one of the night's sweetest moments, as it was presented by Quan's former "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" co-star Harrison Ford. The two shared an adorable embrace on stage as the entire cast and crew converged for the night's biggest award.

Other moments that went viral on the night included several stunning musical performances, including Rihanna's pregnancy glow, Lady Gaga's emotional intimacy and the euphoric energy of "Natuu Natuu" from "RRR."

Hugh Grant managed to get things started early on social media with an awkward red carpet interview with Ashley Graham -- and he wasn't done giving Twitter something to talk about!

Meanwhile, John Travolta got emotional introducing the "In Memoriam" segment while paying tribute to his dear friend Olivia Newton-John, while Brendan Fraser wrapped his "Brenaisance" year with Oscar gold.

Twitter also had some thoughts of their own about what they decided was the biggest shocker and snub of the night, Jamie Lee Curtis winning over Angela Bassett's performance in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."

Here all the night's most viral moments:

Jimmy Kimmel Takes Aim at Absent Tom Cruise, James Cameron and 'The Slap' in Oscars Monologue

Jimmy Kimmel Can't Resist Slaptalk

He may have waited until the closing moments of his monologue to get into joking about it, but once "The Slap" was out of the bag, Jimmy Kimmel went back to that well time and time again throughout the night.

"If anyone in this theater commits an act of violence at any point in the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute-long speech," Kimmel joked.

He went on to call out basically everyone, noting, "If anything unpredictable or violent takes place, just do what you did last year. Nothing. Sit there and do absolutely nothing." After a beat he added, "Maybe even give the assailant a hug."

He then warned the attendants that if anyone decides they are mad and want to rush the stage to "Get Jiggy Wit It," they'll have to get through a whole slew of people, like Michael B. Jordan's Adonis Creed, Michelle Yeoh's herself, "The Mandalorian" and even two Guillermo's (Del Toro and Kimmel's late-night sidekick).

Later, when the show reached the category last year that triggered the incident, Best Documentary Feature, Kimmel had another joke lined up. "Hopefully this time it goes off without a hitch — or without Hitch," he quipped, referencing Will Smith's 2005 rom-com.

"Please put your hands together -- and keep them to yourselves," he then said, introducing the presenters. He even saved one final slap joke for the end of the night. As he walked off the stage, he flipped a board labeled "Number of Oscars Without Incident" from 0 to 1. Let's just say, Twitter was over it before it began.

Ke Huy Quan Wins Best Supporting Actor Oscar For Everything Everywhere All At Once

Keeping Your Dreams Alive

Ke Huy Quan has been dominating the 2023 awards season for his critically-acclaimed performance in "Everything Everywhere All At Once," winning awards left and right, while also capturing everyone's hearts along the way with his emotional acceptance speeches.

His incredible comeback year culminated Sunday night in his Best Supporting Actor win at the Oscars, where he again brought everyone (including himself) to tears. He became the second Asian Best Supporting Actor in Academy Awards history.

Quan was presented the award by last year's Best Supporting Actor and Actress winners Troy Kotsur and Ariana DeBose, whose voice broke with emotion as she read Quan's name. The actor received a standing ovation, and was already in tears when he took the stage.

In his speech, he thanked his mother and talked about his own immigration experience before saying, "This is the American dream!"

"Dreams are something you have to believe in. I almost gave up on mine. To all of you out there, please keep your dreams alive," Quan added, before then concluding his emotional speech. "Thank you, thank you so much for welcoming me back. I love you."

Later in the broadcast, fans were touched even more when Quan shared an embrace with his former "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" co-star Harrison Ford, who presented Best Picture. Quan had stepped away from his acting career for decades after breaking out huge in films like that and "The Goonies."

Jamie Lee Curtis Wins First Oscar Ever for Best Supporting Actress

Curtis Wins But Not Without Twitter Controversy

Jamie Lee Curtis was almost as shocked as Twitter with her Best Supporting Actress win for her performance in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." She managed to thank everyone in her speech, crediting her fans and the hundreds of people she's worked with over her long career for her first-ever Oscar and nomination.

"To all of the people who have supported the genre movies I have made for all these years, the thousands and hundreds of thousands of people, we just won an Oscar together!" she shouted, alluding to her early career in horror and "Halloween" legacy.

She concluded her speech in tears, referencing her parents Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh saying, "And my mother and father were both nominated in Oscars in different categories ... I just won an Oscar."

Fans online were hoping for a different outcoming, though what would have also been a first, getting Angela Bassett's name trending for not becoming the first Marvel performer to win an Oscar. They also took note of the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" star's non-reaction to Curtis' win, speculating that she was as displeased as they are.

Hugh Grant's Awkward Oscars Include Ashley Graham Interview, 'Scrotum' Joke: Twitter Reacts

Grumpy Hugh Grant Is a Self-Described "Scrotum" (or Something Like That)

Hugh Grant didn't even wait for the broadcast to start before serving social media gold. The "Love Actually" star had Twitter jumping up and down after what appeared to be a very grumpy interaction with Ashley Graham on the red carpet before the show.

When Graham asked the Academy Awards veteran if he was rooting for anyone to win tonight, he said, "No one in particular."

The "Notting Hill" star also answered the Swimsuit Illustrated model's next question about what he was wearing by dryly replying, "my suit."

"Your suit?" Graham quipped before challenging him, and trying to breathe some life into their exchange, "You didn't make it." But the best he could do then was to say his tailor made it.

Ashley later asked him about his experience filming Netflix's "Glass Onion," and Grant retorted, "Well, I'm barely in it. I'm in it for about three seconds."

"Well yeah, but still you showed up and had fun right?" Graham implored.

"Almost," Hugh admitted. Finally when the "Bridget Jones's Diary" star walked away, fans saw the actor raise an eyebrow before leaving.

Grant's awkward evening continued on stage when he came out to present alongside his "Four Weddings and a Funeral" co-star Andie McDowell with an important message about moisturizing that sent him viral all over again.

He emphasized "the vital importance of using moisturizer," pointing out that McDowell has been using one "for the last 29 years, and I've never used one in my life."

He then gestured to his co-presenter and said, "Still stunning." Shifting his gesture to himself, Grant then deadpanned, "Basically a scrotum."

Rihanna Gets Support A$AP After Stunning Performance

Rihanna brought the Dolby Theatre to tears on Sunday night as she performed her Oscar-nominated song -- "Lift Me Up" from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" -- for the first time live.

The emotional performance featured an introduction from one of the film's stars, Danai Gurira, before the pregnant singer hit the stage in a Maison Margiela Artisanal look created especially for her by John Galliano. Rihanna was dripping in diamonds from head to toe, accentuating her growing belly in the gorgeous look.

Gurira already had people feeling emotional with her touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who starred in the original "Black Panther" film before succumbing to a battle with cancer he'd kept secret for years.

Rihanna is currently expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky, who was in the audience, cheering her on. Fans were definitely loving the support!

Rihanna lit up the red carpet before the broadcast, too, with her bump on full display in a stunning, form-fitted Alaïa gown. Twitter couldn't decide which moment was more exciting -- though they definitely enjoyed her hamming it up for a selfie with Ashley Graham (who needed the pick-me-up).

Lady Gaga Performs Raw, Stripped-Down Rendition of Hold My Hand at 2023 Oscars

Lady Gaga Strips Back Glam for 'Hold My Hand'

Looking as stripped back as she sounded, Lady Gaga appeared on stage in a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, and seemingly removed her makeup, including bright red lipstick, that she donned on the red carpet, for her "Hold My Hand" performance.

The track is from the "Top Gun: Maverick" soundtrack, and is nominated for Best Original Song. However, instead of singing the chart-topping version of the song, Gaga sang a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of the track.

"I wrote this song with my friend Bloodpop for the film 'Top Gun: Maverick' in my studio basement," she said. "It's deeply personal for me. I think that we all need each other. We need a lot of love to walk through this life. And we all need a hero sometimes. There's heroes all around us in unassuming places, but you might find that you can be your own hero even if you feel broken inside."

After Gaga finished the song, the camera zoomed out, with the screen behind her featuring a photo of Tom Cruise and Tony Scott, who directed the first "Top Gun" film. Scott died by suicide in 2012.

According to Variety, Gaga's appearance was a last-minute addition, as she'd originally been unavailable due to filming commitments for "Joker: Folie à Deux." The stripped back presentation certainly got Twitter's attention.

John Travolta Chokes Up Honoring Olivia Newton-John Ahead of Oscars In Memoriam

John Travolta's Emotional Tribute to Olivia Newton-John

Even before he walked out, the Academy Awards orchestra was playing "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and emotions were running high. John Travolta introduced the "In Memoriam" segment with a special tribute to his longtime friend, and "Grease" co-star, Olivia Newton-John.

"In this industry we have the rare luxury of getting to do what we love for a living. And sometimes getting to do it with people that we come to love," Travolta said after coming on stage and blowing kisses into the audience.

"Through their immeasurable contributions, each of them left an individual and indelible mark that shared and informed us," he said, his voice breaking more and more with each word. "They've touched our hearts, they've made us smile and became dear friends who we will always remain hopelessly devoted to."

The nod to a track from the film that cemented their long friendship four decades ago was not lost on Twitter, who found themselves just as moved by Travolta's touching tribute.

Brendan Fraser Wins Best Actor Oscar for The Whale

Brenaissance Reaches Its Oscar Peak

After returning to Hollywood following a long hiatus, Brendan Fraser achieved all of his dreams in one magical year dubbed by many the "Brenaissance." The actor, who was a staple on the big screen in the 1990s and early 2000s, has experienced a resurgence for his work in "The Whale."

On Sunday, Fraser won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. It was the first win and nomination of his career.

"So this is what the multiverse looks like!" he exclaimed, referencing "Everything Everywhere All at Once," before thanking director Darren Aronofsky, screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter -- who also wrote the play on which the film is adapted -- and his fellow nominees.

"Only whales can swim at the depth of the talent of Hong Chau and I started in this business 30 years ago and things, they didn't come easily to me," he said, before acknowledging his cast and family for all their support.

It was a bit of a frantic speech, filled with emotion, but it comes on the heels of an incredible awards season for Fraser, who has won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role, and the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor for his role in "The Whale." He also received Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards nominations.

Michelle Yeoh Wins Best Actress Oscar, First Asian in Academy History

Michelle Yeoh's History-Making First Oscar

Michelle Yeoh made history on Sunday night, and did not hold back her joy in an emotional and powerful acceptance speech after winning for her work in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." With the win, she became the first actress of Asian descent to win an Oscar in the Best Actress category, and only the second woman of color after Halle Berry, who presented her the award.

"For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities," she said. "This is proof that dream big and dreams do come true. And ladies, don't let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up."

"I have to dedicate this to my mom -- all the moms in the world -- because they are really the superheroes, and without them, none of us would be here tonight," Yeoh added. "She's 84, and I'm taking this home to her."

After thanking family and friends in Malaysia and Hong Kong, Yeoh concluded by saying, "Thank you to the Academy, this is history in the making. Thank you!"

The "Crazy Rich Asians" star made Academy Awards history even before her Oscars win on Sunday. With her nomination alone, Yeoh became the second Asian woman to receive a nod for the Best Actress Oscar. It was also the first time she was recognized by the Academy in her long-running career in Hollywood.

Yeoh has dominated the 2023 awards season, receiving many accolades for her role in "Everything Everywhere All At Once." In addition to the Oscar, she also won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture -- Musical or Comedy and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. Among her other slew of nominations and wins were nods at the 2023 BAFTAs and Critics Choice Awards.
