Lionel Messi Gets Honorary Recognition in Argentina

The name of Lionel Messi will never be forgotten in the history of the Argentina and the national team following his recent honorary recognition.

The Argentine FA decided to name the national team training center after the midfield maestro, it will no longer be called, Julio Humberto Grondona's training center. The unveiling ceremony was witnessed by his teammates and the team's coaching crew.

Messi was given that honour because of his fantastic performance for Argentina especially his role in helping them to win the FIFA World Cup. The 37-year-old recently scored his 800th career goal for both club ( Barcelona, PSG) and country.

Thomas Tuchel Reveals Why He Decided to join Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich's manager, Thomas Tuchel has explained the reason he decided to accept the offer from the Bavarians when they came calling for him.

The 49-year-old was speaking at his unveiling at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, March 25th, 2023. He signed a deal that will keep him at the club for at least until the summer of 2025.

Tuchel said it was an honour for Bayern to consider him for the job.

It's a huge honour to be able to sign a contract with FC Bayern. I'd like to thank Oliver Kahn, Hasan Salihamidžić, Herbert Hainer, and Uli Hoeneß for their trust. Even if I've worked abroad for a while, you become even more aware of the club's importance. The DNA of this club is commitment. It's all about winning at Bayern, as well as the way you win. The squad here is one of the best and most talented in Europe, and I am excited to be able to work together with this squad.

The German led the Blues to win their second UEFA Champions League title at the expense of Manchester City in 2021 with just six months in charge of the London club. He went on to win the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup and was voted World Coach of the Year in 2021. Tuchel's first game will be against his former club, Borussia Dortmund.

Selena Gomez's friend and fellow actress Francia Raisa gave her the ultimate gift -- one of her kidneys. When Francia learned that Selena was in need of a kidney transplant, she volunteered to check if she was a match. When it was discovered that Francia was a fit, she agreed to go through with the intense surgery. Looking back on the experience, Selena shared that she was in awe that Francia would do something so kind for her.

"My kidneys were just done. That was it, and I didn't want to ask a single person in my life. The thought of asking someone to do that was really difficult for me. She volunteered and did it. And let alone someone wanting to volunteer, it is incredibly difficult to find a match. The fact that she was a match, I mean that's unbelievable. That's not real," Selena said on the "Today" show.

2. Tom Cruise & Bill Hader

Tom Cruise was there for his "Tropic Thunder" co-star Bill Hader during a difficult moment in his life. While the pair were in Los Angeles filming promos for the MTV Movie Awards in 2010, Bill heard the news that someone attempted to set off a car bomb in New York City. Bill wanted to rush home to be with his then-wife Maggie and their daughter Hannah, but his flight home wasn't for two days. When Bill began having a "full-on panic attack," Tom stepped in to help.

"'No,' he says. 'We'll get you home tonight.' And in that moment, Tom Cruise, as [his 'Tropic Thunder' character] Les Grossman, in a karate gi, began to direct all my coverage. All my footage, all my close-ups. Boom! We do three perfect takes. Boom, boom, boom," Bill once shared.

The group got two days' worth of work done in 45 minutes, and when they were done, Tom's then-wife Katie Holmes handed Bill a red-eye ticket home.

3. Padma Lakshmi & Lena Dunham

During Lena Dunham's battle with endometriosis, Padma Lakshmi was a shoulder for her to lean on. After Lena opened up about her diagnosis, Padma revealed that she had already known about Lena's struggle, and as a fellow endometriosis warrior, she had been helping her as much as she could. She even recommended her surgeon for Lena's hysterectomy.

"[I was] somewhat part of the process from the beginning because I felt that Lena wasn't getting the care that she really should have when I heard her talking about some of the doctors that she was seeing before she got to my [Endometriosis Foundation of America] co-founder," Lakshmi told People.

4. Jamie Foxx & Ed Sheeran

Back when Ed Sheeran was just an aspiring artist hoping to get his foot in the door, he approached Jamie Foxx about appearing on his radio show, which often featured up-and-coming artists. Jamie liked what he heard and ended up allowing Ed to live at his home for six weeks while he worked on music in Los Angeles. He even got him a slot at an open mic night where he performed in front of an audience of 800 incredible musicians.

"He plays on [the show] and is incredible, so I said, 'I know you don't have anywhere to go so just chill here.' I said, 'Listen man, I think you got the goods but I got to check you out so I took him down to this show that I was doing, a live night every Monday night in Downtown LA...He went out there on a ukulele and got a standing ovation in 12 minutes and the rest was history," Jamie said on "The Graham Norton Show."

5. Denzel Washington & Chadwick Boseman

When the late Chadwick Boseman was still in college at Howard University, he was accepted to a prestigious summer theater program at Oxford. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to afford the tuition, so actress Phylicia Rashad, who was teaching at Howard at the time, recruited some of her famous friends to help with the costs.

"She essentially got some celebrity friends to pay for us to go," Chadwick told Rolling Stone, later adding, "After we got back, we got a benefactor letter. Denzel paid for me."

6. Kevin Hart & Tiffany Haddish

Before Tiffany Haddish rose to fame, she ended up going through some hard times. When she found herself homeless and living out of her car, Kevin Hart offered to help. When he initially suggested she find a man she could stay with, Tiffany told him she had no interest in sleeping with someone to put a roof over her head. Instead, he ended up lending her money to get a hotel room.

"Kevin gave me $300, told me to get a room for a week, and I was like, 'I don't know where you can get a room for a week in Los Angeles for $300, that's impossible.' But I got me a motel room, and he told me to write out a list of goals and start doing something every day toward those goals," she told Vanity Fair. "I wrote: Get myself an apartment. Do these things, all these people I wanna work with, everything. I pretty much tackled almost all those goals. But it's crazy, because the next day I got a phone call and was offered an apartment."

When Meryl Streep was a young actress, Jane Fonda became her mentor. On the set of her debut film "Julia," Meryl often turned to Jane for guidance -- something Jane says she hadn't gotten a chance to do with any more experienced actresses. Chelsea Star Player Suffers Injury on International Duty

The English Football Association has given an update on the injury situation of Chelsea's defender, Reece James.

The FA released a statement on the fitness of the right-back player on Saturday, March 25th, 2023. According to reports from the Three Lions Camp, James had returned to Chelsea and will be accessed by the doctors at the club.

Reece James has withdrawn from England squad and will not feature against Ukraine on Sunday. The full-back has returned to Chelsea for assessment on the ongoing issue. No replacements are planned as Gareth Southgate's squad including the suspended Luke Shaw continue their preparation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Chelsea Supporters will hope the injury to James is not serious as they look to bounce back from the disappointing result against Everton.

Jeremy Renner 'Finally' Reunited With Snow Plow After January Accident

The Marvel actor was airlifted to the hospital back in January after he was injured while moving snow on his industrial plow.

Jeremy Renner is excited for the return of his snow plow following his accident on New Year's Day.

The 52-year-old "Hawkeye" star took to his Instagram Story to celebrate the plow leaving the impound lot to return to his home with two images of the vehicle. "She's finally making her way home! 🙏 😃," Renner captioned a pic of three people working on loading up the plow, while a man in the driver's seat gave him a thumbs up.

In another shot of the process, the "Avengers" actor wrote, "The cat get[s] a police escort... Feels like The Green Mile!" on a video of the vehicle moving down the road behind a police car.

Back in January, Renner was hospitalized after he was run over by his industrial snow plow.

"As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today," his rep said in a statement at the time. "His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care."

According to the statement, Renner was "moving snow from his driveway on Sunday so that his family members could depart his home after spending New Years together" when the accident happened.

"He was also helping clear out the snow of his neighbor's home as everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and there had been a large snowfall," it continued. "So he was helping everyone in trying to clear out the snow so people could get out."

At the time, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office also released a statement on the incident on saying they "responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada."

"Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital," said officials. "Mr. Renner was the only involved party in the incident."

TMZ reported Renner's Snowcat ran over one of his legs and he lost a lot of blood from the injury. A neighbor put a tourniquet on his leg until paramedics arrived and took him away via helicopter.

The singer previously opened up about her hopes that "little Black and brown girls" will feel represented by her upcoming live action film.

Halle Bailey is gushing over a sweet interaction with a "Little Mermaid" superfan at Disney World.

The 22-year-old singer -- who plays Ariel in the upcoming live-action "Little Mermaid" film -- took to Instagram to share a series of pictures and videos of her trip to the Florida theme park, including a sweet fan interaction with a little girl who was clearly excited about the highly-anticipated film.

"Met this beautiful baby Mila Rose who made me cry 🥺," Bailey captioned the video. "She just hugged me so tight ❤️."

"You're so pretty," the Chloe x Halle singer gushed in the clip, as someone off camera revealed that Ariel was the girl's "favorite." Halle responded saying, "Really? You're so beautiful and sweet, what's her name? Mila?"

She then got the tot to smile for the camera before taking a photo together.

While Bailey has unfortunately become the target of some racist hate for stepping into Ariel's fins for the live-action adaptation, she and her family also know how important it is for a Black woman to take on the role. Speaking with Variety in August, she shared how her grandparents motivated her amid the backlash.

"It was an inspiring and beautiful thing to hear their words of encouragement, telling me, 'You don't understand what this is doing for us, for our community, for all the little Black and brown girls who are going to see themselves in you,'" Bailey shared at the time.

In fact, Disney's newest mermaid noted that her younger self might have felt more confident in her skin if she had seen the original animated version of Ariel as a person of color.

"What that would have done for me, how that would have changed my confidence, my belief in myself, everything," the "Grownish" star explained. "Things that seem so small to everyone else, it's so big to us."

Being a super-fan of the Disney classic growing up, Halle said that she hopes others who haven't had that representation in the past will be able to see themselves in her as she graces the big screen.

"I want the little girl in me and the little girls just like me who are watching to know that they're special, and that they should be a princess in every single way," she gushed. "There's no reason that they shouldn't be. That reassurance was something that I needed."

The movie hits theaters May 26, 2023.

Comedians Patton Oswalt and Kumail Nanjiani are set to star in the sequel to 2021's "Ghostbusters: Afterlife," which is set to release in December 2023.

After the casting news made headlines on Friday, Nanjiani went to Twitter to share his excitement for the film.

"Ghostbusters was my first favorite movie," shared "The Big Sick" star. "I remember exactly how I felt the first time I watched it. Horror and comedy in one movie? This movie was made for me, and I watched it over and over."

He also added his praise for the new film's writers, saying, "The script is unbelievably good. I can't believe I get to be a part of this world."

Among the addition of Oswalt and Nanjiani, James Acaster and "Gossip Girl" star Emily Alyn Lind are also joining the sequel. According to Deadline, Gil Kenan will direct the movie, while the previous director Jason Reitman will be a producer and writer on the film.

Reitman, of course, is the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the original two "Ghostbusters" movies.

"Afterlife" was a reboot centering on the grandchildren of Egon Spengler (the late Harold Ramis), who not only inherited his home, but also the Ecto-1, proton packs and a mission to stop the evil Gozer. Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard played the kids in the middle of it all, while Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd also starred.

OG Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson also appeared in the film, as did stars Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. It's unclear whether they'll be back in the next film, which is reportedly returning to the franchise's New York roots and iconic firehouse.

Amber Rose, Julia Fox Compare Notes on Dating Kanye West During Podcast Together

"Sooo, I don't know if we want to talk about it or not," said Fox, as Rose joined her for an interview on her Forbidden Fruits podcast.

When you get Amber Rose and Julia Fox in the same room, it's only a matter of time until Kanye West's name comes up.

Rose, who dated the rapper from 2008-2010, was a guest on Fox's Forbidden Fruits podcast this week, cohosted by Niki Takesh. About 17 minutes into the conversation, Julia -- who also dated Kanye for about six weeks in early 2022 -- finally addressed the elephant in the room.

"Sooo, I don't know if we want to talk about it or not," she said, getting a laugh out of her guest. "I figured this would come up," said Amber. "Whatever, we both did it, it's fine. Literally, I get so much s--- for it," added Fox, before Rose joked, "Welcome to my life."

Amber said that, even all these years later, West's shadow still follows her. That being said, she also made it clear she isn't one to "shy away from that, because it is a really big part of my story and how I became famous."

"I think the funny part is I didn't have anyone to look to and say, 'Okay this happened to her so it's going to happen to me,'" she continued. "I was the first, I was the girlfriend and then all of the sudden I was by myself walking around and paparazzi would follow me around, alone, and I would say 'I'm not famous, he's not with me. You don't have to follow me.'"

She explained that she was very "surprised" by the media attention, claiming she felt "thrown to the sharks" because not even West warned her about the spotlight.

As Fox opened up about what West was like when they dated, she said she had a theory that he's "always been the same, kind of," but has been getting "more extreme" in recent years.

"I feel like he has always just had really lofty dreams and always kind of pushing the envelope as much as he can, pushing the boundaries - like if you tell the man no, he is going to find a way to get yes," she said.

"I think he has always been this person, I can say he was very similar when we were together," Amber said in agreement, before addressing some of his controversial behavior. "Years of buildup will make a motherf---er look crazy after a while because you're just fed up. I definitely can't make any excuses for the things that he says because I don't agree with them."

Looking back at her time with West, Rose explained how an invitation to appear in one of his videos turned into a relationship. She said they just started hanging out and before anything even got romantic, he invited her to attend the Grammys as his date. Rose, who had flown into Los Angeles for the shoot expecting it to only last a day, had no clothes for such an event.

Explaining that he then took her on a massive shopping spree, Rose recalled having "tears in my eyes, I couldn't believe it. I was crying in the store. It was just shocking, because I had been so poor my whole life and to have that 'Cinderella' or 'Pretty Woman' [moment]."

She then claimed that when she went home for a funeral, West checked in on her and told her, "Just come back to LA, just come here and live with me." She was shocked as she, at the time, hadn't even kissed him, let along had sex with him. Rose explained that she then returned to Los Angeles and was adamant they both get tested for STDs before doing the deed. "Then it was on and crackin'!" she joked.

"He is really charming when you really get him," said Fox, who added that West was "very receptive, very interested" and did have "some really amazing qualities." She said she too felt like it was a "fairy tale" when they started dating, but views it differently now.

"In hindsight, I'm like, okay that might have been like love bombing,'" she said, as Rose exclaimed, "Totally love bombing!" Julia then admitted she's "a sucker for a good love bombing," before adding, "If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is."

Both women agreed that West is an amazing artist who's very talented and creative -- though Rose added, "he's a lot to deal with on a personal level." She added that she does wish him well, though they do not keep in touch.

At one point during the conversation, Fox mentioned that West told her he ran into Amber at a restaurant while they were dating. "That was kind of hilarious," Rose said of their brief interaction, which was the first time she saw him since they broke up. "Never spoke to him in all those years," she said, "But then when he left he was like, 'I gotta go see my girl,' and he was talking about you. It was so weird."

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth Announce 'Difficult Decision to Divorce'

The news comes just days before their 12-year wedding anniversary.

Reese Witherspoon and husband of more than 11 years Jim Toth are divorcing.

The two made the announcement on Friday, with a joint statement posted to Reese's Instagram page.

"We have some personal news to share ... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," they wrote. "We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together."

"Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter," they added. "These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time."

The announcement comes just a couple days before their 12th wedding anniversary, which is on Sunday.

The actress and talent agent tied the knot back in March 2011 and are parents to 10-year-old son Tennessee. Witherspoon also shares two children -- daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon, 19 -- with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

The Rare Beauty mogul first declared she was in a "throuple" with the newlyweds when she captioned a photo of the trio cuddling on a yacht.

During an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," the 24-year-old "Cookin' with Brooklyn" star opened up about his "throuple" relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz and Selena Gomez.

Calling the "Only Murders in the Building" star a "very sweet girl," Beckham said that he's enjoyed meeting his wife's friends and shared the trio get along swimmingly.

"She says we're a throuple. She's such a sweet girl," he said of Gomez. "I love when my wife makes new friends, especially really great friends. We all get along."

The 30-year-old Rare Beauty founder first jokingly declared herself a part of Brooklyn and Nicola's relationship after sharing a series of photos during the trio's New Year's trip to Mexico.

"Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone," Gomez captioned a carousel of images that included a shot of the three cuddled up on a yacht.

At the time, Nicola also revealed she and Selena had also gotten matching "angel" tattoos on their forearms when she posted a snap of the duo wearing identical Valentino dresses for the festivities.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan earlier this month, Peltz touched on her friendship with the "Good For You" singer and how the two first crossed paths at the Academy Gala last year.

The "Transformers: Age of Extinction" actress gushed about the couple's relationship with Gomez, "Oh my god. We're like, 'Yeah, we are a throuple.' We are all three best friends."

"I had met her once in passing a few years ago, and then we all went to this event in September, the Academy Gala. We just clicked and had the best time. And then we became super, super close," Peltz said.

"I feel like she's my soul sister. I love her so much. She's truly one of the most amazing people I've ever met in my whole life. The kindest person ever. Truly, her heart is gold," she continued. "I feel like I've known her forever."

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have lost the first leg of their doubleheader match against Guinea as they seek to book qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Some Nigerians have blamed the M.K.O Abiola Stadium for the lack of victory in recent games, they believe that the Stadium is cursed. However, the 2013 AFCON Champions will hope they can get a victory in the second leg which will be played on Monday, March 27th, 2023. The game ended 1-0, which means the Super Eagles have lost four consecutive games for the first time in history.
