Davido Reveals Why There Are No Sad Songs On His 'Timeless' Album

The award-winning Afrobeats superstar is known to be a happy person and he intends to keep it that way no matter the tribulation he faces.

Heavyweight Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed why he decided not to make sad songs on his recent album, even though he just went through trying times.

The DWM frontline act and owner, who is currently the talk of the town after he released his highly anticipated studio album titled 'Timeless' which has continued to dominate the music scene - locally and internationally - decided to remain happy despite his recent loss.

Set to perform his 'Timeless' album for the first time in the motherland at the 50,000-capacity Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos on Sunday, April 23, 2023, the singer during the press conference for the event spoke on the plans for the event and other interesting things to look forward to.

During the press conference, a journalist swayed away from the primary subject of the press conference and asked why the singer didn't infuse more personal content in his new album.

Answering the question, Davido made it known that he has always been the one that keeps his music happy and fun and that is the mindset he brought to the 'Timeless' album. He said:

There's emotion but not too much emotion in the album. If you listen to Davido's music over the years, I have always been a happy person whether I was going through something or not.

That side of my life, if I want to talk about it, there's time for that but on this album that's not what I was going for.

Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and performer, Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has received accolades from award-winning American producer Timbaland for his talent.

The father of one, whose latest song featuring street-hop act Zinoleesky 'Party no dey Stop' is still doing numbers, got the attention of Timbaland with another song from his previous album.

In a video that has circulated the internet, Timbaland is seen jamming to AG Baby's 'Something Different' a soothing Afro-fusion tune off his 2020 album 'Afro Pop, Vol. 1 '.

Chelsea FC Officials Meet Julian Nagelsmann in Germany

The quest to appoint a new manager at Chelsea Football Club has continued to be paramount by the club's hierarchy ahead of next season.

Chelsea have been in disarray since the termination of Thomas Tuchel's contract in September 2022 due to an off-the-field incident that happened between himself and the board.

Sky Sports News confirmed on its official website that Chelsea's board traveled to Germany to meet with Julian Nagelsmann. They were told that senior members of Chelsea's legal team have been in discussions with their counterparts at Bayern to better understand what level of compensation will be due to the German club under the terms of his departure if the Blues decide Nagelsmann is the man they want.

Nagelsmann is a known face to many ot the Chelsea hierarchy directors Chris Vivell and Laurence Stewart who had worked with him at RB Leipzig - both Stewart and his co-sporting director Paul Winstanley flew to Germany at the end of last week to hold talks with the former Bayern Munich manager. The German is one of several candidates Chelsea are considering for the summer, including Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino, and Ruben Amorim.

UK rapper Stefflon Don has reacted to the ongoing divorce saga involving PSG and Moroccan football star Hakimi.

Popular UK rapper, Stefflon Don joined the long list of people reacting to the ongoing divorce case involving PSG and Moroccan football star, Achraf Hakimi and his wife Hiba Abouk. It was revealed that Hiba Abouk had filed for divorce in March 2023 a month after the footballer had been accused of rape in February 2023.

Rumours had circulated that Hiba had requested for half of the football star's fortune but the court had allegedly revealed that all the Moroccan asset had been in his mother's name and as such the model would not be getting half of his assets.

This had prompted Stefflon Don to give advice to ladies, she stated that no woman is entitled to half of a her husband's fortune if they did not build it together. She is however not the first celebrity to the reports, UFC Champions Israel Adesanya also took to social media to share his thoughts.

It was reported that Hakimi had been under investigation when a 24 year old woman accused him of raping her on the 24th of February 2023. Hiba had not publicly made any statement defending her husband, Hakimi following the incident but the Spanish model issued a public statement a month after filling for divorce.

Her statement read:

 'long before the events in which I have been involved in the media and of which I am totally unaware'.

After taking the decision to legally separate and stop living together, while awaiting the divorce proceedings, who would have imagined that in addition to facing the usual pain that comes with a separation and accepting the grief that comes with the failure of a family project to which I had given body and soul, I would have to face this ignominy,'

Hakimi is still under investigation as the PSG star has not been cleared of all charges.

#NBAPlayoffs: LA Lakers Beat Memphis Grizzlies in Game One ( Western Conference )

Lebron James led La Lakers to a fantastic opening game in Game One against Memphis Grizzles in the Western Conference NBA Playoffs.

Lakers stars Anthony Davis and LeBron combined for 43 points. Rui Hachimura scored 29 points off the bench for the Lakers, while his team-mate Austin Reaves had 23 points. There was a big blow for Grizzlies guard Ja Morant who left the game with six minutes to go in the final quarter with a hand injury.

Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered an injury in the second quarter as the Milwaukee Bucks fell to a 130-117 defeat by Miami Heat. Antetokounmpo will be assessed to see if he can play in game two of the series on Wednesday. Miami's Jimmy Butler finished the game with 35 points, this is the 10th time he has scored 35 points in a playoff game for the Heat.

Kawhi Leonard registered 38 points, five rebounds, and five assists to help the LA Clippers claim a 115-110 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Jamal Murray helped the Denver Nuggets defeat 109-80 in a victory over Minnesota Timberwolves with 24 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.

#NBAPlayoffs: Eastern Conference Match Day 1 Results

The NBA regular season and the play-in tournament officially came to an end last week. The Playoffs had a total of 4 matches on the first day with the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers starting the Playoffs while the day ended with Warriors vs Kings.

The 76ers got the perfect start courtesy of the form of James Harden and Joel Embiid, as they defeated Brooklyn Nets by an overbearing margin. The second hoop of the day took place between Boston Celtics and Atalanta Hawks, where Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, and Derrick White, were decisive in clutch situations. In the third match of the day, New York Knicks defeated Cleveland Cavaliers in an entertaining game.

The final match of the day was between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, where the Kings got the better of the Warriors by a small margin.
