'Didn't put a foot wrong': Some Chelsea fans hail 26-year-old who had 89 touches vs Sheff U Mar 22nd 2021, 07:45, by nathaniel.kay@hotmail.com (Nathaniel Kay), Nathaniel Kay Chelsea supporters certainly enjoyed Emerson Palmieri's second start under Thomas Tuchel during yesterday's FA Cup win over Sheffield United. Tuchel rewarded the Italian international for his goal against Atletico Madrid last week by including in from the off on Sunday. It was the same role Emerson played in his only other start for Tuchel, in the previous round's win over Barnsley. Despite this unfamiliarity, he looked very comfortable and managed to supress Sheffield United's threat down his side of the field. According to Whoscored.com, Emerson made three tackles and four clearances. Uncertainty still remains whether Emerson will be a Blue come next season. Calciomercato reported that Inter Milan was interested in bringing him back to Italy this summer.
