Chelsea supporters certainly enjoyed Emerson Palmieri's second start under Thomas Tuchel during yesterday's FA Cup win over Sheffield United.
Tuchel rewarded the Italian international for his goal against Atletico Madrid last week by including in from the off on Sunday.
Emerson earned the plaudits from Blues fans who thought he had a solid afternoon at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old was deployed in an unfamiliar position at left centre-half within a back three, with Ben Chilwell deployed in front of him at wing back.
It was the same role Emerson played in his only other start for Tuchel, in the previous round's win over Barnsley.
Despite this unfamiliarity, he looked very comfortable and managed to supress Sheffield United's threat down his side of the field.
He also had 89 touches of the ball; only Mateo Kovacic had more for Chelsea.
Tuchel will have been encouraged by such a confident display, especially from a player he's heaped praise on for his work ethic and commitment in training.
Uncertainty still remains whether Emerson will be a Blue come next season.
Calciomercato reported that Inter Milan was interested in bringing him back to Italy this summer.
This may still come to pass, but for now, Emerson is firmly within Tuchel's thinking.
