'Insane, underrated': Some Chelsea fans drooled over 23-year-old's UEL display last night

Chelsea supporters once again looked longingly upon the performance of Fikayo Tomori for AC Milan yesterday.

Tomori started Milan's 1-0 Europa League defeat to Manchester United at the San Siro last night.

The 23-year-old has swiftly become a key member of Stefano Pioli's side since his love move away from Stamford Bridge in January.

Blues fans have kept a close eye on Tomori's progress and were impressed again following his European display against United.

Despite being on the losing team, Tomori demonstrated all the abilities that earned him so many admirers at Chelsea.

Excellent in recovery, confident in possession and firm in the tackle.

He has now racked up 11 appearances for the Rossoneri following his departure from London two months ago.

This is almost triple what the young centre-back managed with Chelsea during his second season under Frank Lampard.

It was a massive downgrade on Tomori's first full campaign with the Blues. He played 22 times and earned a senior England call-up.

All of these glories were put into the past when Lampard suddenly decided to freeze him out.

Feelings towards him are much warmer in Milan, with plenty of senior figures around the club expressing their desire to keep his services in Italy.

They would have to splash £26m (Sky Sports) to prize Tomori away from Chelsea.

In today's saturated market, it would appear a pretty sweet deal for a player with such high potential.
