The manager of Arsenal Football Club, Mikel Arteta has spoken about the injury situation of William Saliba as the season begins the wind-down.
Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of Saliba being ruled out for the rest of the season. The Gunners have missed the presence of the French man in their defense after picking up an injury in the Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon.
I do not know. It's a bit early to do. There is some evolution. He's doing more activity but he's not ready yet to throw him into that pitch. He's not progressing as quick as we hoped. We have to be delicate and we want to be very certain when we push him that he's ready.
Saliba has played 27 games in the league, helping the Gunners keep 12 clean sheets with their defensive record among the best in the top flight. The league leaders have lacked the defensive solidity they have shown previously.
Arsenal dropped a two-goal lead in their last two league games against Liverpool and West Ham, which has seen the Gunners drop four points in their eight points lead ahead of Manchester City.
