2022 World Cup winner Lionel Messi has been suspended by the French football club PSG following an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia as questions about his future have continued to arise.
According to RMC Sport and L'Equipe the Argentine star is set to miss two games for Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1. These matches would be against Troyes and Ajaccio as the race for the title intensifies. It was also speculated that the football legend might have played his final game for PSG and would not feature in any other game this season.
The future of Messi remains uncertain as the Argentine's contract with PSG would come to an end at the end of the 2022/2023 club football season; PSG is trying to get him to extend his contract amidst interests from Barcelona and Saudi Arabia giants Al Halil.
