The Premier League body has announced the winner of the best player award for April 2023.
Manchester City's forward player, Erling Haaland was named the winner of the award. The Norwegian has been in fantastic form since he joined the Cityzens from Borussia Dortmund.
He scored in every match he played in finding the back of the net six times and two assists in four matches. He was a key part of City's victory in key games against Arsenal and a win at Fulham in which he equaled the longstanding Premier League record for most goals (35) by a player in a single season.
He expressed his delight on Manchester City's official website when he was announced the winner of the award.
I am really happy to win this award for the second time this season, I am grateful to everyone who voted for me. We are in such a vital part of the season and winning all of our Premier League games throughout April was important. I am delighted to have helped the team by scoring goals and we just need to keep going until the end.
This is the second time the 22-year-old will win the Player of the month award, he won it last in August 2022.
